sir/mam i have got 54 out of 100 marks in PhD entrance exam, can i apply for PhD in university? i had applied in Punjab, Haryana, and Jammu university. If yes how?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 31st May, 2021

hi,

see cucet is the entrance test to admission to central university to ug, pg and phd course. however the cutoff score changes every year and it depends on certain factors like number of applicants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, students category and so on. cucet conducting authority would release a cutoff score, students who are unable to get the cutoff will not eligible for admission.

once the results declares central universities will release their merit list and cutoff in their respective website. students need to participate in the ccounselling process by visiting the official site of the respective institute and make all registration process for counselling.

since you did not mention about phd stream,  I would suggest you to check the official website of the university and merit list. if you are eligible to apply do all the procedure mentioned in the official site for counselling.

what type of research one can do after doing PhD in electrical engineering

Rutuja Rohit Kalkate 16th Oct, 2020

Hello student,

Electrical engineering,It is the field of engineering that has been around since a very long time right. Reaserches continuing in that area.

Traditionally electrical engineering was to do with electronics, power systems, high voltage ,Power systems, power electronics machine, solar grid, etc.

There is a another major area in electrical engineering is micro electronics and VLSL

Plasmonics is the area where metal interfaces can enhance certain properties of light.

Silicon photonics is also the another area, where you know you can just like how you had electronic Integrated circuit, you could have photonic integrated circuit.

As per the research concerned,in that sense if we see, electrical engineering is not a chased subject, where you keep following specific area  and you keep expanding on that, its not like that .

So think on it.

Hope this helps
