see it depends on which of the field you want to do your phd course, if this is related with pharmaceutical sciences then gpat score is fine. different institute has different eligibility criteria and have individual screening process. The students who have qualified UGC(NET)/ UGC-CSIR (JRF) examination/SLET/GATE/GPAT/ICAR/INSPIRE/Rajiv Gandhi Fellowship awardees/teacher-fellowship holders, are eligible for apply for phd courses.

For getting qualified in IARI entrance exam to get admission in plant breeding for PhD , a students need at least 50% marks 45% for SC/ ST/ PC.

All the  faculty members are highly qualified , all of them are Ph.D holders and very student friendly,so this will provide a rich learning experience. I am answering in general as you have not mentioned the particular course you are asking about. Now regarding placements it may vary with each course depending on the scope and demand ,generally the institute offers very good placements and in all departments nearly 80% of the students get placed in good companies. The MBA and Engineering placements are really good according to passed out student reviews.For B.Tech Pay Pal, Capgemini, HCL, Cognizant and TCS were the top recruiting companies and the average salary pack offered was 4-5 lakhs per annum,but a highest package of 21-22 lakhs have also been reported ,so the placements must be really good,but again it may vary with course .Next I assume you are asking about Presidency University ,Bangalore,the faculty is again good here , all of them are well qualified and friendly,majority of the faculty members are PhD holders. Coming to placements ,since you have not mentioned the course name, assuming it is for B.Tech,the students are offered god placements in companies like Wipro, Flipkart, Microsoft,Byjus etc. However the highest package was 12 lakh per annum and average package was 4.99 lakh per annum. Hence it seems like placement wise , this college might be better than MITS , and almost 90-95 students get placed every year. Based on the standard of the college , placements should be pretty decent in all departments. Therefore , MITS and Presidency are almost the same but based on highest pack offered , MITS might be slightly better,but you should search about the specific course you want to join and decide accordingly . However, you may search about both colleges in detail by going through their official website and various student reviews and decide.

M.Tech and ME does not differ much . You will have more or less same level of job opportunities after both but a popular choice is usually M.Tech. The initial salary after M.Tech will be around 3 lakhs per annum and it can go upto 12-15 lakhs , this may vary based on the stream/specialization, industry or sector you are employed in , company brand and the job position. The average salary package for someone who has completed PhD in management is around 4LPA to 8LPA per annum. Doing PhD is usually considered best to pursue teaching and research career and in India ,there are many good management institutes , so if you join as an MBA faculty member in recognized institution after clearing NET exam , you can earn well. Apart form teaching , data analyst, business development manager, associate, manager, business analyst, team assistant, consultant etc and the salary will depend on the company you join.You can have various job opportunities in the state or central government sector, and it usually pays well according to your grade.
