I am the student of class 12 commerce with math and my 6th subject is physical education but i have scored more marks in physical education than maths so at the time of percentage calculation which subject i have took???

Nitish Gupta 17th Jul, 2020

Dear student,

If you wish to take admission in college which requires maths as a subject in 12 standard, then the percentage will be counted with maths or else if it is not mandatory , then you have got the benefit  of 6th  subject.

So you can then replace 5th subject with physical education.

Hope the answer helps.

Best of luck for your future.

Dear Student,

It depends on which board you are reading. But nowadays the rules of that condition is, in which subjects you will get marks the best ones, that will be your counted and best subjects. And the other one will be your additional subject.

my desire to get admission in hindu college in b com hons for general category so we can add physical education in top4 subjects with out any deduction

ojaswiyolo Student Expert 17th Aug, 2020

Hey Sourabh

For taking admission in Commerce stream you need to calculate your best four subjects by taking english along with maths, business studies and commerce (for no marks to be deducted , you can also check out lest C1 for DU https://university.careers360.com/articles/delhi-university-admissions-how-calculate-best-of-four-marks ) or you can take any one of IP,Business mathematics,Legal studies etc (list c2) with a deduction of 1% for each subject taken.

If you take physical education your marks will be deducted as per 2.5% deduction rule. So, you should not add physical education (according to me) if you are not ready to lose 2.5% out of your total percentage.

we can added physical education in top 4 subject percentage required in du with out deduction in any course of commerce stream

Sharon Rose Student Expert 16th Aug, 2020

Hello,

Yes, there will be a deduction in the percentage. Please check the best of four calculation criteria for B.Com (//B.Com) in Delhi University

  • Candidate must have scored minimum 60% or more in English/Hindi and combination of best three among  Mathematics, Accountancy, Economics and Business Studies/Commerce.
  • If a subject is considered for calculation of best four which is not mentioned in List B will lead to a deduction of 1% per subject on the aggregate, the maximum net deduction is 2%.

Physical Education is not listed in list B. So if you include that subject then there will be a deduction of 1% upto 2% depending on number of subjects which you have considered which are not in list B.

Im a PCB student , without physical education can I get a seat in foreign standard colleges other than MBBS. name the course along with the name of the institute ?? plsz...

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 4th Jul, 2020

NEET is the entrance examination for admission to MBBS,BDS, Ayush and Veterinary courses across India and also abroad.  So to be eligible for NEET, you should have completed your 12th, passed in all subjects and secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. Now if you belong to OBC Category, the Category you belong to should be also listed in the Central OBC list. Or else you will be considered as General Category and so you have to secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. This 50% is inclusive of the Theory and Practical marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Biology collectively. You needn't score 50% in Physics, 50% in Chemistry and 50% in Biology separately. You need an aggregate of 50% or 40% depending on your Category as an aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. And along with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, you should also have studied English as one of the core subjects in your 12th. So if you look at it, Physical Education is not a mandatory subject to study MBBS both in India and abroad. So it depends on the course that you want to study abroad. Physical Education is only a mandatory subject only to pursue a course that involves Physical Education and Coaching and not for all courses.
