Ive done my bsc in physician assistant,am I eligible for masters in clinical embryology?

Vidya Kasi 28th Aug, 2021

Hi

Physician assistant is a health science or a paramedical science degree. As far as I understand you should be eligible for this course. A physician assistant can even assist a surgeon during surgeries then why not in an IVF procedure. If we try to apply a little common sense then yes you should be allowed for it.

LPU university has MSc in clinical embryology course for which eligibility is 60% aggregate marks in Bachelor's Degree in ( Applied Medical Science or Biosciences or Medical Science and Allied Medical or Life Sciences ) or equivalent.

only you can figure out if you come under applied or allied or get in touch with the university to enquire.

Asia pacific institute of embryology mysuru offers MSc In Clinical Embryology & Pre-Implantation Genetics and you are eligible for this course.

Now there is also distance learning course masters degree in reproductive clinical science embryology and andrology in ivf.net and they have clearly mentioned physician assistants are eligible. Its based in USA and selection procedure is quite intense.

or you can opt for MSc life science and then go for

Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Embryology and Assisted Reproductive Technology. Please check if you are eligible for MSc life science.

again it would be better if you get in touch with the institutes or colleges and enquire if you fit into their eligibility criteria if you really have the fire to become an embryologist then you will have put in the required efforts too as nothing comes easy at least not a noble and responsible profession like an embryologist.

hope this is enough for you to propel forward. Let me know if you have further questions.

Hi aspirant

hope you are doing absolutely fine

A physician assistant or physician associate is a type of health care provider.  They are not to be confused with a physician or doctor. They are mid level health care provider.  They basically develop and manage treatment plans, prescribe medications. a health care professional who is able to perform certain of a physician's duties, serving in either of two roles: assistant to the primary care physician (PA) or surgeon assistant (SA).   They assist the doctors.
