you can not join merchant navy after passing 12th with commerce background because Direct entry to Merchant Navy is only possible for students who have completed their 12th with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics).

But don't loose heart you can join merchant navy on the basis of your 10th qualification.

Don't worry!!! First of all if you are failed in chemistry then  how have you passed in 12th class. For clearing class 12th you need to pass in all three main subjects i.e. maths, physics and chemistry. You can apply for supplementary exam 2020 or improvement exams 2021.

you may go for bsc in physics/ bsc in mathematics/ bsc in electronics science after completing your 12th course from pure science stream, see many of the colleges under calcutta university, delhi university takes admission based on 12th score. however for tier 1 colleges like banaras hindu university, IISER
