which is better cse or it , how do they differ in placements

Subhrajit Mukherjee 27th Oct, 2020
  • CSE approaches equally on theory as well as applications where as IT is more focused on applications.
  • CSE helps you to study more fundamental and innovative concepts of computer and its systems engineering where as IT provides innovative uses of the designs produced by CSE.
  • CSE requires a use of mathematical knowledges in implementation but in case of IT , the mathematical proficiency is entirely based upon statistics,processing,data-analysis etc.
  • You may call IT as a sub-division of CSE but there lies some unique subjects like systems management in IT only.

So this are the basic differences about both of the fields. Now placements didn't have a lot of variance. Usually engineers from both this fields works hand-in-hand in corporates.SO there is equal amount of exposure for both of this field.

If you have a good rank for CSE go for it if not then you can go for IT which will not disappoint you because all the requirements are your skills not the educational degree you are having. So work hard and you will succeed.

Also I would recommend you to do a research on your own about the subjects & then come to conclusion. It will help you.

I hope my answer helps you. Have a great day & all the best for your future endeavors!

Tier two best colleges in ts eamcet with better placements

Amrit Kaur 26th Apr, 2021

According to my opinion Chandigarh University is the best option for MBA . Different specialisations are offered to students . CU is involved in world class research with outstanding results in the contemporary research excellence framework. CU’s academic model is designed in such a way that you will find yourself amidst a plethora of opportunities; from a flexible choice based credit system (FCBCS) to project-based experiential learning and will feel encouraged to explore areas of intellectual challenges that will shape your future. The hands-on learning that our students are continuously exposed to is designed to groom future techno-professionals who are not only academically qualified but also have a passion for their chosen career path.

can I get better job opportunity after b.sc(h) electronics from keshav mahavidyalaya , tell me about placements in this college

Subhrajit Mukherjee 26th Oct, 2020

When you are taking a BSc(H) course , you are opting to the realm of science not its application. The application of science in the real world is important but a BSc degree doesn't suffice the most exposure which can give you a support to industrial application.

Although in Keshav Mahavidyalaya there are placement facilities but the placement rate is very low. Its up to your skill you can have a placement depending how much you can make yourself valuable for industrial application purpose.

BSc(H)in Electronics is a great field of study and if you cant get a job after BSc. You can get a job after MSc. Government agencies like ISRO recruits a lot of scientist from the field of Electronics. So you will get a ample exposure to jobs.

Also you can go for active research like Semi-conductor electronics , solid state electronics by giving exams in different universities across India for a Integrated PhD after your BSc , for which you will get a stipend which is equal to a starting salary of freshers in most of the corporates(Rs.36000).

So academia as well as jobs , you have a ample scope to explore. For Jobs you have to made yourself valuable in terms of practical skills where as for academia you have to focus on the theoretical as well as experimental aspects of your subject.

And last but not the least you may get a job in placement but the probability is low and if you get then the packages will not be satisfactory enough.

I hope my answer helps you. Wish you all the best for your future endeavors!

Taking core engineering field (civil, chemical etc.) at DTU is a safe option or not in terms of placements since placement percentage is quite low there ?

Nive 5th Dec, 2020

Hello, Taking a specialization subject will narrow down your career opportunities. But the package and privilege's enjoyed by those candidates can be relatively higher since the candidates available for those job roles will be lesser and if you can prove yourself a capable, competitive candidate with a good profile then you can see am exponential growth in opportunities. Based on previous year trends a minimum of 16 students have been recruited from the specialization courses comparing to 90 students from the usual engineering fields but the median salary bagged remains the same around 11 lakhs.

Best wishes.
