Plz help to make josaa preference list according to placements .i hv got AIR-5275 in JEEADVANCE and AIR-7034 in JEEMAINS

ARYAN SAGAR 9th Oct, 2020
Dear student,

First of all you must mention your category that from which category you have secured this much rank. Now assuming that you have secured these ranks with your general category then you have done quite well in your exams.
As you have secured 5275 rank in JEE advanced and 7034 rank in JEE mains and congratulations as per your rank you can get many good IITs and NITs or iiits.

Now, if you are having difficulty in selecting difference in josaa counselling then according to me, you must select the preference order as from top IIT to new IIT that means select IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, and till IIT Mandi. Because there is a chance that you can get branches in many iits.

After IITs arrange the top NIT to lower NIT like after iit start from NIT Trichy, then NIT Warangal, NIT Calicut, NIT Rourkela, MNIT Jaipur, svnit Surat, NIT surathkal, till NIT Mizoram or NIT Nagaland. And then select iiits from top iiits to low iiits.

So, select in this order and if you are in doubt that which branch you will get then, check out the different links below, so that you can select the branch order in these iits or nits or iiits.

Which course is better in terms of placements: msc statistics or operational research from DU?.... PLEASE DONT PASTE QUORAS ANSWER

Rama Devi 18th Nov, 2020

Hello,

Your preference depending on what you want is simply to either select a course on statistics or operations. Choose from statistics if you want to know different ways in which data can be used to draw a conclusion.  Choose operational Research only if you  are interested in  using of the assumption and using of numbers to run an organisation.

How is IIIT Kottayam for CSE cosidering placements, curriculum..can I choose it other than IIIT Raichur , Dharwad,Kurnool.

ayanmukherjee045 18th Nov, 2020

Dear aspirant,

According to your question and taking into consideration that you want to know about the placements of cse at IIIT Kottayam.

I would personally recommend you to join IIIT Kottayam cse as the other college's placements are not very great. Kurnool is also new and placements are not impressive and same for Dharwad and raichur . In new colleges cse is a better option.

How are the placements at metallurgy in nit warangal. Is it worth joining by leaving ece at iiit kancheepuram?

Yash Kamal Chaturvedi 18th Nov, 2020

Hey friend!

NIT Warangal Recruiters:-

Amazon

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited

Capgemini

Cognizant

Deutsche Bank

Fidelity

GAIL(Gas Authority Of India Ltd)

Hindustan Unilever

HSBC

Infosys

Intel

ITC

Microsoft

Nestle

Oracle

Sify

UBER

Wipro

Placements for the students of our batch are awesome. Around 75% to 80% of the students were placed. The highest package offered for the students of metallurgy and materials engineering was 23 LPA, and the average package offered was 7.41 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3.60 LPA.

If you are getting Ece, then you should definitely go for it. College has very well established facilities with all required labs. It's faculties are very good. And also job opportunities in ECE branch are greater than metallurgy branch.

is cvr good for civil eng.. does cvr have good placements. do civil.have scope in future

Nikhitha Sai 9th Oct, 2020

Hello Student,

CVR College of Engineering is ranked 141 according to NIRF rankings. That is a reasonably good rank to be considered. Civil Engineering is a good enough branch to be considered at this particular university. However, with regards to placement for civil engineering specifically. However, the placements as a whole is pretty good for this particular college.

When it comes to civil engineering, it has a huge scope for the future. Civil engineering is one of the core branches of engineering. It always has a demand as there is a construction spree as the population keeps increasing and the demand for housing and other buildings keep increasing. And the demand for specialisations such as structural engineering keep increasing since the specific needs for new constructions keep increasing.

is cvr college good for civil.. can i get good placements..my rank is 30096 bc-d.. does civil have scope in future?

Rutuja Rohit Kalkate 15th Oct, 2020

Hello student,

Yes CVR college is good at academics, placements, and extra curricular activities too.college is good for all the branches of engineering. They provide standard equipments and they have very good lab facility also. But while choosing the college it is necessary to develope short list of good Colleges. So rank your priorities while choosing any college. You should consider factors including location of College, fees, and other certain factors also. And then select the college

Civil engineers generally work in a variety of locations and conditions. There are various job opportunities in this field. There are some jobs like project manager, senior civil engineer, architect, etc.

Now if we see the scope for civil engineering. Then I would say that,If you are ready to take in-depth knowledge of the subjects and you have an interest in that field, it doesn't matter much which branch has the more scope.because all branches of engineering are good at their place.

Only one should consider the interest and accordingly develope your career.

Hope this answer will help you.

Good luck.

IS CSIT better than CSE i am qoit confused.when componies come for on placements to collages do they give same priority to both the branches????

Heena GJ 17th Nov, 2020

Hi Sourabh

IT generally focuses on the real world application of computer knowledge i.e. it is mostly focused on software part.

Computer Science as the name suggests is the Science behind computer application, it is more related to innovation rather than just application.

Even if you see the placements CSE has better placement records than IT but I'm not saying CSE is always better , it doesn't matter what branch you are from as long as you work hard, focus and innovate.

That is what the companies see in people and not the branch that you are from. Generally, CSE records are better because they have grown habitual to thinking in that way.
