See Ignou has its essential reading materials available at its main branch and regional center. since the syllabus of political science is vast and you can not depends on one particular books for each of the subjects. you have to make notes from different books to secure high score. so it would be best to use the library and Internet. you can also compare with  other university syllabus as well.
