I Completed my 12 cbse board exams from non med stream though the result is not come yet I want to.take admission in du in BA Programme (history + pol sci) If I add physical education (optional subject in 12) will there be any deduction if I add physical ed. for doing BA program in best best 4 sub.

Shivang Dubey 4th Jul, 2020

Hey

For admission in Delhi University  in Bachelors of Arts (Programme) course from a Science background there is a deduction of percentage which generally depends on the college you are applying for.

From your Best four subjects of 10+2 some percentage is deducted when you change stream in Delhi University, no matter what all subjects you had in your class 12th. The deduction lies between 2-3% in different colleges. Mainly most of the colleges prefer 2.5% but colleges like Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College process admission with 3% deduction.

can I do dpharma and ba in political Science together beacause I wanted to give upsc

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 24th May, 2020

Shabaz, UGC did mention that you can pursue 2 courses at the same time provided one is through Regular mode and one is through Distance mode. For example, you can pursue DPharma through regular mode and BA Political Science through Distance mode or vice versa. So this is an option provided you meet the eligibility criteria for both the courses.

Pankhuri Kumari 23rd May, 2020
Hii!
The eligibility criteria for applying in UPSC entrance examination states that the candidate must have completed graduation with any subject stream from a recognised University. So, as long as you complete graduation from a authentic University, preference of College doesn't matter.
You can choose any College of your choice.
Hope this helps.

does ba in political Science required 100% attendance

Mibin Mathew Mammen 22nd May, 2020

Dear Shahbaz,

Thank you for your query. The attendance criteria for political science depend on the University you are studying or want to study. But most Universities and colleges mandate an attendance percentage of over 50% which is required of a student planning to study political science.
