Which university is better for Ba llb Gndu Amritsar or PU Patiala?

AMOL VISHWAKARMA 17th Jul, 2019

Hey,

The below given details are based on the review taken by the passed out B.A LLB students passed out from the respective colleges.

GNDU Amritsar -

The placements from the campus are mainly to the local law firms of Amritsar, and there is no scope for corporate placement. However, if a person wants to practice law by themselves, and do not want to bear the pressure of the corporate world, they can get you the best placements. Training programs are quite less available for students of B.A-LLB, they get the opportunities from the fourth year onwards.

PU Patiala -

The placements are conducted by a lot of companies seeking legal professionals to work in them . A good amount of MNCs have recruited professionals from legal stream to work in them . And as student of this stream, you always can start your own career .

The faculty of the institution is very cooperative as the faculty has been very supportive of the students. As being a student of a law course, practical training si also required , which was looked by the institution and regular activities like court visits and were also arranged for us.

Both the colleges are decent it's your decision to make which college to choose as per your convenience.

Good luck!

Ive got 94. 6% in +2 and 24.75 marks in pu ba llb exam with defence category what are my chances at uils chandigarh?

abhisheksingh19121999_6969616 Student Expert 16th Jul, 2019
Hello,.
Talking about the seat matrix first , there are 120 seats each for ba llb and bcom llb in chandigarh campus , and ghere are 60 such seats in regional centres.
After declaring the results ,Pu prepares a provisional and final merit list in which marks obtained in the exam are added to others ( such as 12 % ). Both the parameters carry equal weightage.
Looking at your scores, your final merit score would be something around 59 which is quite low for getting into chandigarh campus. But since you are seeking admission under defence quota so it might help you in fetching a seat there. Pu offers 5 % quota to the wards of defence , paramilitary personnels. you can read further about the reservation criteria on the official site...
As of now it's difficult to put forward any specific prediction.  Cutoff ranks vary due to many reasons.just wait for the final merit list to be out.
Hope this helps.
Good luck

I got 47 marks in Pu ba/bcom llb entrance and 88% in +2 commerce and additional maths What is chances to get admission in uils chd.

Hello,
If i talk about the seat matric first then there are 120 seats each for ba llb and bcom llb in chandigarh campus, and there are 60 such seats in regional centres.
I would like to bring this to your notice that pu prepares provisional and final merit list after adding marks obtained in the entrance exam and others( such as 12 % age). Both the parameters carry equal weitage in the final merit list. Looking at your mark your final score would be something around 67 . With this score you do have  chances of getting chandigarh campus.if not then you can definitely go for the regional campus. As of now it's difficult to put forward any specific predictions.just wait for the final merit list to be out.
Hope this helps

I have got 21.25 in pu ballb entrance test and got 92.2% in +2 non medical. Is there any chances to get admission in uils pu chandigarh?

mahimadogra_6929406 Student Expert 16th Jul, 2019
Hey.
Considering your score in entrance exam is 21.25 and that your boards exam score is 95.2% you seem to have a less chances for admission in UILS, Chandigarh. The combined merit score will be 57 without adding any weightage if any. As There is 50% weightage for each score both are equally important.
There are 120 seats each for BALLB and BCOM LLB in the Chandigarh campus, 60 each in regional centres. So for the Chandigarh campus if your rank in the BA LLB merit list after combination of both scores is uner 150-180 you'll have a fair chance in the first counselling itself.
And with your rank and marks in boards your chances seem less for Chandigarh campus and more for regional centres. But wait for the final ranks after combined scores for a better estimate of your chances in Chandigarh.
Best of luck

Saumya Singh 16th Jul, 2019
According to previous year the cut off marks for Gen category are 15/100, that for SC/ST/BC category are 11.25/100. PU will prepare provisional and final merit list after adding marks obtained in entrance exam and others (such as graduation percentage etc) according to their due weightage.

I got 41 marks in Pu llb 3 year entrance exam and I got 56% in my graduation. Is there any chance of getting admission in pu????

abhisheksingh19121999_6969616 Student Expert 16th Jul, 2019
Hello,
As far as i am concercend in 2018 the qualifying marks for general category was 15 out of 100 and for sc,st,bc it was 11.25 .
But i would like to being this to your notice that pu prepares provisional and final merit list after adding marks obtained in the entrance exam and others( such. As graduation percentage etc). There are 300 seats each for LLB in the Chandigarh campus, 60 each in regional centres.
You have scored quite enough in the entrance exam but your graduation score is too low. I fear if it is going to hinder in your admission in pu. As of now just wait for the final list to be out . I belwive you would not be abke to get chandigarh campus . But hope fully you might land up in a regional campus in the subsequent rounds of councelling.
Good luck
