The Pondicherry University is one of the reputed and famous Central University of India. This university is situated in Puducherry. It offers different courses like Post-graduate and Ph.D. courses. It also offers courses in the field of Law, Engineering, Computer Application, Management, etc. The Pondicherry University organizes many entrance exams for different subjects and courses. It is mandatory to appear in the entrance exam to get admission to the Pondicherry University.

Eligibility criteria for admission , the candidate must pass any bachelor’s degree from any recognized institution. And must secure a minimum of 50% or 55% in their qualifying examination.

The candidate needs to apply online, the application form will be filled through the official website of Pondicherry University. The process of filling application forms will begin from the last week of March 2021 and the candidates can fill the forms till the first week of May 2021. Another separate application form will be filled by the candidate for each subject they want to pursue.  Candidates can apply to multiple subjects or courses.The candidates can take a printout of the filled application form for future references or you can download it and keep it safe. The application fee will be paid through online mode using a debit card, credit card, or net banking and the fee will be non-refundable.

The hall tickets for the entrance exam of 2021 will be available for download one or two weeks from the examination date. It will be provided online and the aspirants can download it from the official website of the university. While going for the entrance exam the candidates need to carry the hard copy of the hall ticket/ admit card to the exam hall along with ID proof. The entrance exam will be conducted in the last week of May 2021 and it will be a computer-based test with multiple-choice questions. There will be 100 questions each correct answer will give you 1 mark and negative marking for every wrong answer. The time allotted for the exam is 120mins or 2 hours.

The results of the entrance test will be declared via online in the second week of June 2021. After the declaration of results, the university will release the cutoff for the admissions. The students will be selected for the counseling process based on their score or performance in the entrance exam. The counseling is going to be done through online mode.

The admission fees of the university vary for all the courses but for PG courses the admission fee is 11,425 rs. In case the student fails to pay the admission fee before the due date then you need to pay an additional 200rs to the university as a fine.

The university has integrated courses and PG courses also. The admission for the Integrated course is based on an entrance test organized by the university. The candidate having a class 12  certificate with an aggregate of 50% can apply for the BA+MA program.

The eligibility criteria is that a candidate must have passed bachelor's degree in the relevant field with minimum 55% aggregate marks from a recognised board. No there is no age limit for applying M.Sc chemistry course in Pondicherry University, Puducherry. Master of Science (M.Sc) in Chemistry is a full-time two-year postgraduate course and it is offered by the Pondicherry University, Puducherry. The admission to the Postgraduate programmes will be based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination. Candidates have to appear for an Entrance Test conducted by the University.
