private university
Hello sir,
Hope you are doing well!
Sir, first of all, congratulations on your son scoring such a good percentile.
Secondly, it is bit difficult to tell anything about the admissions yet as cutoff is not released by NTA. Cutoff keeps changing every year because it depends on number of factors like difficulty level of the exam, number of students appeared, number of seats available, etc. So we cannot give surety. However, we can predict the chancea of admission of your son in the collegea through JOSAA counselling using the colleg predictor tool.
Kindly visit the link given below to use the tool to predict colleges:

Gaining a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Civil Engineering is the highest engineering degree that anyone can aim for. If you are looking for a private university where you can pursue your interest in gaining a PhD in Civil Engineering, then below is a list of universities in which you can consider applying:
1. Lovely Professional University (LPU), Jalandhar
2. MSRIT Bangalore, Ramaiah Institute of Technology
3. Kumaragaru College of Technology, Coimbatore
4. REVA University, Bangalore
5. Techno India University, Kolkata
Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
See it totally depends on what your interests are and what do you want to do in future regarding your career prospects. If you want to work in pure science especially in chemistry and want to further do a PhD, then it is a no brainer for you to take Chemistry in a private college.
However, if you want to pursue engineering, then you should definitely look out for engineering in a private college! So, at the end you have to go with your own calling.
You can also use our college predictor to see your chances in all the colleges: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Dear Aspirant,
IP University is very well known for graduate programs but not for post graduate programs. It would be better to go for too private universities which are big names in the MBA domain, like MDI, SP Jain, NMIMS, SIBM, XLRI, XIMB, etc. It does not matter if you’re from a government or private college if that college comes in the Tier 1 category.
