Hi Aditya,

Definitely, if you score sufficient marks in the GATE exam and secure a sufficient rank according to that year's GATE cutoff trends for IITs and NITs in the specialization of your choice then for sure you are to get admission in IITs and NITs provided you meet the eligibility criteria and also clear the respective interview for the specialization of your choice in Master's Degree of Engineering.

Manish vaibh 9th Jun, 2019

Sorry you can't be able to get admission in nit Calicut for production engineering or chemical engineering with this percentile rank. You need atleast 25k rank for Calicut production engineering in general category. 89 percentile is just cutoff of general category and no one able to get admission at cutoff marks.

  3. An application ID and Password is generated after payment of fees. The candidate should Log In into his account and fill the application form online.

He/She should produce his/her Original 10th, 12th, B.Tech/B.E certificates, print-out of the Application Processing Fee receipt and all other required documents during the verification process. This will confirm his/her application and he/she will be entitled to receive a “Receipt-cum-Acknowledgement” with sign and seal of the FC officer. Once application is confirmed, no details can be changed.
  5. Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) candidates are required to get their documents verified in person at a FC in Maharashtra only!
  6. The Provisional Merit List of all the different types of candidates will be displayed on the DTE website according to the schedule.
  7. 11. The candidates who have been allotted a college and are satisfied with their allotment are required to Report and Accept the offered seat at one of the Admission Receipt Centers. 13. Steps 10, 11 and 12 are repeated for a total of 3 or 4 rounds (subject to change ever year).
  14. A candidate is not required to fill the option form for each and every CAP Round.
  15. Once the last CAP round is over, vacant seats remaining in Autonomous and Government colleges are displayed on the DTE website. Based on these vacancies an Additional Round is conducted. All those who have got a seat as well as those who have not got a seat are eligible for this round. The candidate is required to fill the Option Form again for this round. Reservation for any category is not applicable for this round. Thus, this is the only round based on Pure Merit.
  16. If a candidate previously holding a seat gets allotted a new seat through the additional round, he has no option but to accept the new seat. He/she loses his old seat.
  17. This brings the admission process to an end.

I hope it will help you

Good luck....

1147 cml rank and 253 rank in bc 2 category in state merit list, can i get production engineering in bit sindri?

RISHAV SINHA 12th Jul, 2019
Hello souvik
Congratulations for your result.
With this rank you can get production engineering but not in the 1st counseling,it may take 2 nd round.
Last year closing rank for production engineering was about cml 1150 for a general category students.
So on that basis you can get production engineering with  your category rank.
The cut-off may vary this time to a large extent since this is the first time bit sindri is taking admission through jee mains.
But according to the previous year cutoff and present scenario you can get production engineering till 2nd round of counseling.
All the best!!!
