Hello dear student,
Your priority should be the goal you are aiming for .
as your goal is to achieve the placement then there are few tips you should keep in your mind while preparing for the placement exam. You must solve objective reasoning questions for aptitude, you must know about the company and you should prepare yourself for the interview round. it's depends upon company to company what are the rounds they are taking but the rounds like HR and technical round always takes place. So focus on these few things .
Thank you
Dear Applicant,
I hope you are doing well. About your question,
Production engineering has a huge scope be it in India or abroad. If you are doing your UG program, than after ug u can go for PG or Research.
I have listed some of the scopes here
Hope this helps you out.
Industrial and production engineering (IPE) is an interdisciplinary engineering discipline that includes the study of manufacturing technology, engineering sciences, management science, and optimization of complex processes, systems, or organizations. It is the application of engineering procedures in manufacturing processes and production methods.
The subjects for this course include:
Physics
Chemistry
Mechanics
Materials science
Computer science
Electronics circuits
Engineering design and mathematics
(Curriculum may differ with respect to universities)
The major job fields are: Industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering.
Production engineering involves just the manufacturing process and not the industrial level equipmentation. The subjects are almost same as production and industrial engineering but an additional graphics and designing comes to part.
The job opportunities are basically production engineer, process engineer, industrial manager etc..
To understand which is better is based on your skills and interests. Both are great courses and job opportunities are almost the same. If you are more interested in production and design based activities, choose production engineering. If you are more interested in Industrial manufacturing and business methods other than the production field, choose production industrial engineering.
Hope this was helpful
Hello student,
If you prefer college instead of branch, then Production engineering/biotechnology in NIT calicut is a good option. But if you prefer branch over college then CET is better. If you are getting Production engineering/biotechnology in NIT calicut, there are even chances that you might get a better branch in other NITs. I suggest you to check other NITs where you can get a good branch. Not only NITs , you can apply to IIITs and GFTIs. i suggest you to take a look on the following links -

Hello Aspirant,
Thanks for approaching us.
Most of the companies look for graduates both freshers and experienced persons. And it would be difficult for getting a job at the end of the third year.
But for learning perspective it is advised to go for internships where you might be getting stipend and if your performance is great, there is a great chance for hiring you by the company.
Most of the private sector industries try to hire you if you perform greatly during your internships with greater skills, attitude, maintaining discipline and punctuality. You can search for internships at various websites like www.internshala.com or directly googling it. You might be getting job definitely once you enter your final semester as many companies starts hiring you at this time. Hope this was helpful to you.
All the best for your future.

Dear student,
First of all congratulations on your rank. You have secured a good rank in sc category in jee mains 2020.
Now if you are an other state candidate and you want nit trichy then it would be little difficult for you to get a seat in this college.
But it would be very easy to get a seat in nit trichy for home state students with 4757 sc rank (in female category).
Now in nit trichy, the last year (2019 ) cutoff closing rank for production engineering ( for other state female candidates) in last round 7 counseling for sc category was :- 3935.
And for home state sc category female students the closing rank in production engineering branch was :- 9469
Also in csab round 1 in 2019 for female sc category other state students the closing rank for production engineering was 114135 . But it's better to not take any chances this year. So, you can get production engineering in nit trichy during csab but it's better to not take any chances. Because csab round counseling is for filling the seats in vacant nits.
And there is no sure saying that the seats will remain vacant after all 7 rounds of jossa.
So the chance of getting production engineering branch in nit trichy this year is nearly impossible if you are an other state candidate.
But that doesn't means that you can not get any other good nits if you didn't get nit trichy.
You can still get some other good nits with a good core branches.
