Asiya 25th Mar, 2019

India has numerous engineering colleges. It is really difficult to say which is the best one, since to become a good engineer college doesn't play a big role . If you’re passionate about what you’re doing then even a worst college student can really do well in the field.

Be it IIT or NIT or any of the college , if you’re passionate about his field he/she will stand out. But the exposure what you get in IIT's or NIT's is different from other.

One of the best college for Information Technology is National Institute of Technology, Surathkal

Established in the year 2000, the Department of Information Technology is the youngest among the 14 departments at NITK Surathkal. Since then, it has grown to be a center for excellence, innovation and research with dedicated faculty & staff, highly motivated students, state-of-the-art facilities and an innovative teaching-learning environment.

The department was accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for 3 years in 2008 and for 5 years  till July 1st, 2014, and further extended for 1 year up to 2020. It has demonstrated its significant potential for excellent research through high-quality scholarly publications (126 peer-reviewed Journal publications & 360 refereed conference articles), patents, research projects and other initiatives. Several research and consultancy projects are currently underway as part of various grants/MoUs with reputed industry and academic organizations.

Our students have consistently achieved excellent placements year after year and have demonstrated a high level of success at pursuing post-graduate and doctoral studies at leading universities world-wide (as per QS World University Rankings). Many NITK-IT graduates are currently at universities of repute like Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Carnegie Mellon University, Yale, Cornell, Columbia, Duke University, Purdue, Georgia Tech, and in the IITs and IIMs.

khushboo pokhriyal 18th Mar, 2019

Dear S. Mubarak,

According to some reviews, the college is very appreciated. The staff faculty is good.  Students from different states come to study here. The hostel rooms are good. Academic quality is also decent. There are many clubs and societies in which you can enroll.  The application form is available online and can pay the money online. You can opt for TNEA for Btech admission.

For more information, let me know which course you want to enroll in.

What are the possibility of gettting admission in PSG college Coimbatore through Counselling ?

atulranjan2306 Student Expert 11th Mar, 2019
Hiii...
Coming straight to the point. There are two possibilities. Either you are a student who has studied in Tamil Nadu or the second possibility being you are a student from out of state. Frankly, if you are of the earlier category, the best chance of getting into PSG tech is through state counseling i.e if you want to get only on merit. This institute is one of the most coveted institute not just in the city, but in the entire state of Tamil Nadu. Your 12th standard scores has to be among the best in state to get a counseling option in PSG tech.

If not or if you are from out of state your only option is to get in through Management quota, which will set you back at least a couple of million rupees (20Lakhs being the minimum).

Hope you get it..
