Yes, PSIT is one of the reputed institutes under AKTU. The placements are also commendable. The companies like infosys, TCS, tech mahindra, capgemini, lava etc visit the campus on yearly basis for recruitment. The average package may lie between 3-4 LPA whereas there are students getting 8-10 lpa too.

according to the recent trends and ratings PSIT kanpur is a much better choice than MMMUT Gorakhpur, the campus life campus quality and faculty are much better than that of MMMUT gorakhpur. Also PSIT Kanpur is considered the best pvt college in UP with the facilities and placements

As you are asking about the PSIT Kanpur so i can tell that PSIT is not an autonomous college it is affilited to Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), as here in ECE branch the faculty are good, infrastructure and placement is also upto mark in this college. So

Both the colleges are good and provide good placements and the faculty of both the colleges are well educated. But if we compare both the colleges on the basis of placements record, CGC landran is better. The highest placement offered in CGC landran was 31.77 lakhs per annum

To get admission in PSIT Kanpur, you should have 10th and 12th percentage above 60%. Sorry to tell you that you will not get CSE as you have secured 55%. I am giving you link download the brochure of CSE and see further information about admission.
