Hello Aman,
PSIT Kanpur is a very disciplined college. It's timing are from 9:00 am to 4:50pm. It is very strict in terms of rules and regulations. If you are taking admission in PSIT then you have to undergo highly disciplined experience. 75% attendance is compulsory otherwise get ready for fine. You did not returned library book on time, again fine. There are more monetary punishment but never undergo through it so I'm not experienced in this and don't want to either. Now you cannot go outside the classroom before 3rd lecture and after interval, not before 7th lecture. Bunking the class is not a piece of cake here. The only holidays you get here is on Diwali, holi and after semester end. For first year, students cannot go canteen and coffee lounge till fresher's party.
Hope it helped you
Thank you

Dear Aman,
Yes, you can take direct admission in PSIT kanpur, it's open for all. Number of seats are available under the management quota,
You might be having your own choice for branch but let me tell you that PSIT is a good option only for the students seeking an admission in C.S and I.T branch.
If you want to get admitted into some core branches like ME, EC, EN and CE, so my dear friend you may be fooled in the name of core branches. The placement in these branches is around 10%.
It might be the case that some year or the other, core guys get only INFOSYS as an option in the name of their placement.
If we talk about C.S and I.T branches, the placement records are quite good. Students get a good no. Of companies as an opportunity to make their career.
Although the packages revolve around 2.5 to 3.5 lpa. In some exceptional cases, you might get a better package .
PSIT is improving in its placements. Year by year , the no. of companies are increasing. But still I didn't find any effort made in the core field.
So at last , if you want to take admission in CS or IT branch, then among all private colleges at kanpur, it's the best option.
Thanks for asking here.
Best of luck
Hii Aman Prakash... Through Management Quota, PSIT although you need to give a small test which has some basic Maths and English. And if you're having a good rank in UPSEE or JEE, you can even get a direct admission. Meet some near by or famous consultancy they will guide you and provide seat if possible(taking much of your bucks beware).
Hope this helps you. All the best.
