PSU
hi,
see the psus which generally hires with gate score donot have any work experience criteria for selection, candidates is shortlisted by gate score, calls for gd/pi rounds and based on performance final list is made, now there is age limit which is different for different psus, now age relaxation is available for reserve category applicants, if your age is above 28 , and you belongs to general category less chances to qualify for psus. also vacancy is not same for every year, however you may check for individual or experienced recruitment in osus website rather then only opting for gate exam.
see to get job in psu you need to appear in gate exam from aerospace engineering branch, however every year lots of vacancy comes, but the vacancy for aerospace engineering is less compare to civil, mechanical, electrical engineering stream. now gate exam has two benefits, by this score you may apply for m,tech courses in reputed iits or nits or other state or centralized institute, also you may apply for psus if any vacancy comes.
see mba course is a global program and has scopes in every sectors, however some of the india psus like coal india, indian oil, ongc hires for mba graduates, however most of the cases which requires 5-6 or more years of experience, however I would suggest you to go for some internship or search job in both private sector and government to gain experience.
Hey Malhar,
Considering previous years GATE rank to PSU's recruitment record, sorry but it is tough for you to get into any PSU's (assuming you belong to General category). Most of the PSU's close recruitment for all branches at maximum GATE AIR 1000. You may get admission into any post graduation program but getting a PSU is hard.
Better luck next time.

Hey Dhanush,
Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) takes applicants through GATE scores and admission in IIT's and IISc M.Tech programs is also done through GATE. But the salary factor depends upon what you pursue after M.Tech, the type of placement you receive or any Government job you apply for. In case of PSU's some of the listed salaries are:
Note: These are an approximation and not the accurate data.
Whereas if we consider that one pursues M.Tech from one of the prestigious institution and gets placed on Campus Placement(CSE) then the salary record goes as:
You see most of the students get placed in MNC's and private sectors which differ from PSU.
Also one could join a PSU after completing M.Tech as well, depends on what the student wish to so.
Yes, one can definitely join PSU's after M.Tech, but one must keep in mind some factors before opting for PSU's after M.Tech:
Thank you
