JIPMER has 150 seats in puducherry. Yes, in southern states it seems to be competitive. These things aside, JIPMER is a sure shot with your score under the general category.

When compared to the neet ,jipmer is a tough entrance exam and their marks are changed year by year for every category.

I would acknowledge that you can qualify but on a condition, you should belong to the home state, because there are huge differences in the cutoffs. Every year, the cut offs vary. They depend on many factors such as the average performance , cut off trends, result, no of candidates etc. I'll give you an account of previous years cut off for your category at NIT, puducherry :

• 2019 : cut off for obc female category - 6128(AI) , 56280(home state)
• 2018 : cut off for OBC ncl category- 25455(opening rank) to 64355 (CR) for home state quota, and for AI , it was 2565 - 5382 ranks.
• 2017 : 22473(OR) to 72622(CR) for home state quota. And for AI, 2089(or) to 5688(cr).
