do ssc chsl and railway Ntpc require the clarification of UPSSSC PET (preliminary eligibility test) exam??

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 26th May, 2021

hi,

see ssc chsl or ntpc railway exam has no link with UPSSC PET exam. you may apply distinctly for ssc chsl or ntpc exam with out appearing in upsssc pet. however for each of the examination you have to follow the previous years questions structure and difficulty level. for ssc chsl, exam duration is one hour and has 100 mcq questions on quantitative, english, reasoning and GK. so by practicing you have to be quick at calculation answer most of the questions in due time.

NOW COMING to rrb ntpc, questions formed on general awareness, mathematics, general intelligence and reasoning of total of 100 marks.

do follow the previous years papers and standard book for section wise questions practice. you may follow rs agarwal for mathematics or quantitative and reasoning, bankers adda magazine or arihant book for gk.

hope it would help.

What is the best course for obtaining railways job?

Subhrajit Mukherjee 19th May, 2021

See railway jobs are for 10+2 or graduates. Now there are no such specifications for most RRB examination except the JE examination. For JE examination you must have a Diploma in Engineering or BTech degree but for all the remaining you must have a graduate degree and it doesn't matter what subject it is.

** For Railways JOB you have to prepare it separately.

I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!

Sir I am a physically handicapped railway employee and my annual income is under 3.5 lakh. please clarified which category I belong to OBC NCL or OBC CL

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 6th Apr, 2021

Hi

The division of categories i. e general, obc, sc, st is on the basis of caste .

So, first of all is your caste there in the list of OBC?
You can check it at the official website of the state you belong to, while  at Central level you can know that whether you belong to  OBC or not by visiting the official website to ncbc the direct link for which is provided below

Central list :
http://www.ncbc.nic.in/User_Panel/CentralListStateView.aspx

So, if your cast is in the list of OBC then you belong to OBC category.

Now,
The OBC category is further divided into 2 categories  on the basis of income or economic status :-

  • OBC NCL i. e OBC non creamy layer :- if the family income is less than  8 lakh per annum.
  • OBC CL i. e OBC creamy layer :-  if the family income is more than 8 lakh per annum

So,
If your caste belongs to OBC category then on income basis you  will fall under OBC NCL as your family income is 3.5 lacs per annum i. e less than 8 lacs per annum

Thankyou

Hi

I am assuming that you  belong to OBC category but you further wants to know that whether you belong to OBC NCL i. e  non creamy layer or OBC CL i. e creamy layer.

Actually,

The division of OBC category further  into 2 categories  is on the basis of income or economic status :-

  • OBC NCL i. e OBC non creamy layer :- if the family income is less than  8 lakh per annum.

  • OBC CL i. e OBC creamy layer :-  if the family income is more than 8 lakh per annum

Hello STudent

Yes you can apply for junior engineer railway and junior engineer in SSC staff selection commission. For junior engineer engineer in railways dream of civil candidate has to pass 12th class with science at least 50% marks and he or she has to achieve the diploma in civil engineering from a recognised polytechnic College. Candidate has to appear also scrutiny exam for selection. selection will be on the basis of scrutiny exam result and  Viva -voice and after that railways will take a medical examination for the candidate this is the final stage of selection.

The junior engineer category of post in railways involved alot of field work and it has a slow career growth but in SSC junior engineer category of post involved in total official work for civil diploma holder engineers. SSC has a steady and moderate career growth.
