Is placement opportunities same for Computer science and Information technology Engineering at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology?

S. Saha Student Expert 21st Nov, 2020
MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology is one of the best private Engineering colleges of Karnataka. It has been ranked at 59th position among top Engineering colleges of India. Also Careers360 has rated this college with AAAA+ Grade. Not only the academics, placement wise MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology is pretty good compared to many private Engineering colleges of the state. The department of placement looks after the matter of placement and trainings. Along with the regular course curriculum, MS Ramaiah also provides students with workshops, trainings, seminar, soft skills classes etc. The placement for Computer Science Engineering and Information Science and Engineering graduates are almost same. They are hired by Companies such as JSW, Amazon, Toyota, L&T, Infotech, Sap Labs and various software and IT based companies with an average package of 3 to 4 lpa. Cse and Ise are the branches which bag most of the placements. The placement Statistics and placement percentage of these two branches are quite impressive http://www.careers360.com/colleges/ramaiah-institute-of-technology-bangalore

Harish Jayaraj 19th Nov, 2020

hi!

to work in software company, why do you need mechanical engineering. mechanical is such a tough department to study in. so if you are really interested in software, then join CSBS or CSE or IT department.

but answering your question, yeah, any department student can join software comany. provided if you have coding, presentation and office skills.

taking eee at rv or msrit or taking cse/IT in bit , dayanand, smvit which is good?

AKSHAYA.V.A. 15th Nov, 2020

Hello!

It completely relies upon your field of interest. If you have interest for coding and stuff then go with CSE/ IT, if your interest lies in the area of physics and electronics then go with EEE.

EEE at RV  College have good overall rating. They have decent placement record and consistent record. Highest package offered is 19.4 lakhs, lowest package offered is 3Lakhs per annum and average package offered is around 6.5Lakhs per annum. Not a lot of core companies turn up for placement, but you might get a chance to get placed in IT companies.

EEE at MSRIT have better overall ratings than RV college. They have very good and consistent placement record, average placement record is around 80%. Highest package offered is 45Lakhs per annum, lowest package offered is 1.2Lakhs per annum and the average package offered is 8lakhs per annum. Even in this college not a lot of core companies turn up for placement, but there are chances for you to get placed in IT company.

Dayanand and BIT both are nice colleges. BIT is more reputed than Dayanand college.

Choose wisely, ALL THE BEST. Hope the answer was helpful.

Thank You

Raychel 11th Nov, 2020

Dear Applicant,

I hope you are doing well. I can understand its abot of tedious job to choose a college that will benefit you. This can be very confusing for sure. No worries i shall try my best to help you.

The first thing u need to look out in a good college are the following :

  1. Recognization : check if the college is accredited by NAAC or  is linked to UGC, whether its autonomous or the type of course they offer. This will tell you the level at which the college is at.
  2. Placements : if the college offers good placements to you than it's good. Some colleges don't have the potential to offer good placements to their students thus it becomes a drawback. If a college has good ties to highly reputed companies than it will benefit you exponentially.
  3. The environment : the environment or the facilities they offer you like wife, good food, the level of the library etc.. even look out for reviews of the infrastructure.

These are some of the things u can keep into consideration. Choose the college that will provide you the best and caters to the needs of the students and not just fill their pockets with your money. After all you will be paying quite some amount of money to study.

Hope this helps u a bit!!
