Actually there is no exact formula through which you can calculate category rank from CRL rank because it may differ depending upon numerous factors like number of total candidates, total candidates from the OBC category and so on. Kindly mention the exam in which you have secured the rank of 100000 for us to provide you with complete information about the colleges that you can get .

At a rank of 100000 it is not possible to get NITs, IIITs, BITS, or any regional college like VJTI. Based on previous trends, you can probably get seats in colleges  generally under the home-state quota in NITs like Jalandhar and Hamirpur but getting a good branch would be difficult.

My suggestion would be to crack BITSAT, VIT exam, and get into them. They are also very good. I know it is  considered that getting into a good government college is much better than getting into these private universities but you should not let anyone’s consideration bother you beacuse these colleges also provide excellent opportunities.
