I have 75 persentile in jee exam on category obc which college I get ?.

Anurag Khanna 9th Mar, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Since you have not mentioned your category so considering it as general.

According to the percentile and category mentioned by you in the question your OBC rank is expected to be in the range of 53000, you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

So on such rank and category you have no chance to get any of the NITs/IIITs/CFTIs until and unless you deserve Home state quota for some lower NITs or newer IIITs, so I would recommend you to either go for state counselling for state GFTIs or for private colleges or you can prepare for further attempts of JEE-Main and to help you in your preparation we have some resources which you can access from the link given below :-

https://learn.careers360.com/jee-main-coaching/?utm_source=%20QnA

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

I hope this information helps you.

what is the minimum percentile in jee required to get into an nit for an obc-NCL? please answer

Anurag Khanna 8th Mar, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See there is no any minimum percentile required to be eligible for admission in NITs for any category because the seat allotment process is based on the rank of candidate but if you are OBC NCL candidate and wants to get into any NIT then you should at least try for 90-95 percentile in JEE-Main 2021 . See the qualifying cut-off percentiles which needs to be cleared by any candidate to sit in JEE-Advance is released along with the final result of JEE-Main and for JEE-Main 2021 the final result will be released after all four attempts will be completed and the final result will be on the basis of your best score amongst different attempts. However basis on previous year's cut-off trends we can help you with the expected qualifying cut-offs for this year :-

  • Common Rank List (CRL) - 90- 95 Percentile
  • GEN-EWS - 70- 75 Percentile
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 70- 75 Percentile
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) - 50- 55 Percentile
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 40- 45 Percentile
  • PwD - 1-2 Percentile

Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2021 but expected on the basis of previous year's analysis. You can check out previous year's cut-off trends from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

is 2.83 is good score for jee mains 2021

Ashish Kumar Verma 8th Mar, 2021

Hello Dear,

As per the score mentioned by you it is not a good score in terms for general candidate. Because on this score you will not able to get any college. But if you belong to PH category then this score is considered to be fair enough. For more information you can visit the link and compare the cutoff of previous year:

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

But as per my opinion you should wait for the counselling. It also depends on home state and other state as you have not mentioned your home state. You can predict the list college which you can get through the link below:.

can I crack jee in one month Ive just covered my 12th syllabus

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 8th Mar, 2021

hi,

see jee main exam is not like 12th board exam that you have to bring a cutoff score to pass the exam. however to get admission in top institute you have to secure a decent score and good percentile. however if you only cover 12th syllabus you can answer upto 50% of questions. so your score would not be fair enough to get a tier 1 institute just by answering the 50% questions. to crack any of the entrance test you have study through a long time and prepare for it. so right now just revise the syllabus which is in your grasp and prepare for the coming exam. right now do not try to cover any new topics since it might difficult to remember the new topics. you may follow our article for valuable information to crack jee main exam.

hope it would help.

This is was introduced for the admission of students into various UG or Undergraduate Courses providing Architecture as well as Engineering courses.

JEE Mains can land you into some of the best educational institutes like Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs), National Institute of Technology (NITs) and some other state affiliated colleges.

Eligibility Criteria - The eligibility criteria for JEE Mains is that the candidates applying for it must have 5 subject in class 12th. Students or candidates having only 4 subjects are not eligible for the examination.

BENEFITS

There are several benefits when you clear the examination.

  1. The most important benefit you will get after clearing your JEE Mains exams would be that you will be further eligible for hiving the JEE Advanced Examination.
  2. If you score really good in both the examination that is JEE Mains and JEE Advanced, you will have more options to get into the best as well as the top notch engineering colleges.

  4. JEE Mains also provides the candidates with the opportunity to improve their scores again in the examination. That is why the JEE Mains examinations are conducted in multiple sessions every year. This will also help in saving your year as you have multiple chances to score the best.
  5. Also this kind of system where students or the candidates get multiple chances to increase their score and perform well. There are chances that the candidate will get more knowledge, exposure as well as experience in the first hand of how the examination is and how he/she can prepare for it.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 8th Mar, 2021

Hi

Marks vs percentile  on the page is just approx  marks vs percentile , so the actual  percentile varies a bit and don't worry 98 percentile is also decent score.

With 98 percentile  ,

  • your rank will be  around 16,000.For  rank vs marks vs percentile you can refer to our page for which link is provided below:-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile/amp#referrer=https://www.google.com&csi=1

The above rank is just estimated rank  the actual rank  will vary a bit as above prediction is on the basis of past year trends but marks vs percentile vs rank  keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination for different shifts of the exam etc

Or you can use our rank predictor at

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

And yes, with above predicted  rank , you have  chances to get a seat in NITs, for example you have chances in

  • NIT srinagar :- computer science  engineering

  • NIT patna:- Electrical Engineering

  • Nit sikkim :- computer science engineering

  • Nit goa :- Electrical and Electronics Engineering

And  more

For this you can refer to our page for which link is provided below:-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/nits-cutoff-for-top-btech-branches

Above prediction of colleges is on the basis of past year data but  cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination etc so

to have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below
