I dont know about RV or VIT college but i can say that engineering is a good option to pursue, as LPU alumni, i would recommend LPU as LPU offers multiple options like CSE, EC,EEE,Aerospace, Chemical, mechanical, automobile, biotechnologyu etc.

As per your achieved rank 42403 you can not get admision into any branch of RVCE or Ramaiah institute of technology. As the cutoff rank for these colleges are too high in comoarcomp to your rank. There are some colleges in which you can get admission. They are:

• KLE Technological University, Hubli
• Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore
• Acharya Institute of Technology, Bangalore

Unfortunately, your rank 11036 in KCET is not enough to get you a seat in R V College of engineering as it has very high cut-off and for computer science branch you have to get rank above 570. With your mentioned rank and category you can get CSE in only two colleges who accepts KCET scores and these are

• SKSJT Institute of Engineering, Banglore
• Dr B R Ambedkar Institue of Technology, Banglore

With an approximate rank of 3k, according to KCET cutoffs of 2018, you can get electrical and electronics engineering at MSRIT, Bangalore. You may not get electronics and communication engineering at MSRIT as the closing rank was 2659. You can not get Information science at RVCE, Bangalore because the closing rank for Information Science was 939 in 2018 cutoffs.
