Hello dear .
Stream 1 : 70 % of seats through JEE (main) score and +2 Marks.
25 % and 75 % of weightage will be given to JEE score and +2 Marks under this stream. Your +2 Marks will be normalized with that of the first rank student's marks in your board. You will be ranked with respect to the combined score of your JEE (main ) and +2 Marks. Your rank will be determined by the combined scores of all other applicants.
Stream 2 : 30% of seats through +2 Marks.
You will be ranked according to the normalized percentage of your +2 Marks with other applicants under this stream.
Admissions under the two streams will happen according to your rank. You can apply under both the streams.

SASTRA University
Now, coming to your question. It is better to have a percentage of about 97 to 98 or more in your board exams if you need to get into a branch of your choice. Your rank may vary according to the score of other applicants. So its always good topractice. .
Best of luck
Hi Sairam,
As per your rank, you won't get seat in Stream 1. You are eligible for Stream 2. CSE seats are very less in Stream 2. You have less chances to get CSE.
Thank you and best of luck.
Hi Sarvana,
Assuming that you are getting into Coimbatore campus, this campus is far better than Sastra campus. Placements are good at Amrita. Even sastra has good placements. But on a comparative note, Amrita gives you more options. The grading system of Amrita is in relative format and the courses are offered based on grade points. There are elective options too. Sastra's downside is their absolute grading system.
Good Luck!
Hello dear...
is a loaded question if there ever was one. Each person's definition of success varies. I might consider myself successful if I had one test that went well, no matter what the test was. For a complete answer to this question, one requires a complete definition of success. Is success defined by academic accomplishment? Or by industrial implementation? Maybe by an integration into societal and social lingo?Whatever the answer is, one can only determine the extent of success, if given the domain of applicable values of said success. Thus, I am completely allowed to say that, even though I have not achieved either glory or gratitude, I am the most successful SASTRA alumnus.

Hi Muppala,
As per your rank, you will get admission in SASTRA University. The cut off rank for SASTRA University is around 1000. You are eligible for CSE, ECE and EEE.
Hi Rohith,
70% of the total seats are under Stream 1 and the remaining 30% is under Stream 2. For example if there are 200 seats for CSE, then 140 seats are in Stream 1 and 60 seats are in Stream 2.
