You have good chances of getting a CCE or ECE seat at SASTRA University with a rank of 940.

Also you can get any otehr branches for sure.

It would be difficult for you to get a seat in Sastra University as it is a pretty famous university with fierce competition. Then again, it depends on your branch too. If you want to choose a branch with less competition, then you can get admission if you wait till 3rd counselling. If you are of SC/ST category, then you have better chances of getting a seat.

It will be pretty hard for you to secure any seat in Sastra University with this rank. The downside is that you are of general category. You can try till the last round of counselling but still I think you won't be able to get any good branch with this rank. Don't get disheartened and wait for the results and try for other colleges too.

You have less chances as the cut off rank for stream 1 is around 700-900 and you are way behind that. But you may get a seat in stream 2.

Well, it is a difficult question to answer as the cutoffs of stream 2 change greatly every year for sastra university. Only 30% of the total seats are reserved for stream 2 and that too depends on which state level exam you wrote. So it is advisable to get advice from someone who went through this procedure last year.

SASTRA University B.Tech Counselling 2018 - Candidates will now be able to register themselves for SASTRA University B.Tech 2018 counselling. The counselling of SASTRA University B.Tech 2018 will be conducted in offline mode for all registered candidates. Only those candidates who are named in the merit list will be able to participate in the counselling session. Admissions through SASTRA University B.Tech Counselling 2018 will be done through two streams – Stream 1 i.e., JEE Main scores and 10+2thstandard exam normalized scores and Stream 2 i.e., 10+2th standard exam normalized scores. SASTRA Universitycurrently offers 14 B.Tech courses to eligible candidates through the counselling session.
