Shanmugha Arts Science Technology Research and Academy, Thanjavur
Hello aspirant,
Hope you are doing fine.
SASTRA university does not give admission on the basis of JEE mains only it also consider the board percent which should be 95+ or minimum 90+ And in mains 100+. They prepare their own merit list on the basis of 2 criteria: ... Admissions r given by taking 25% weightage of JEE mains and 75% of boards.
There are maximum chances that you will get admission at this percentile and marks.
Total is 165 marks. Out of 165 marks what are your marks based on that they will give the seat. There are 351 CSE seats so you need to get rank under 351 when marks are calculated out of 165. There is no reservation on the basis of caste at SASTRA University. The only reservation you can get is through the local category. However, there is a 'Trichy quota ', a 'Thanjavur quota ', and a 'Tamil Nadu quota'.
Hope this is helpful for you.
Thank you.
Hello Gracy,
As you have mentioned that you have got 854 marks in state board and you JEE mains percentile was 81 so, let me tell you that for admission in sastra University 30% weightage is given to 12th marks and 70% weightage is given to JEE mains percentile.
So, they would prepare a merit list on the basis of these scores and you will be admitted after that. So, it is not possible to predict the exact thing because it would depend on number of candidates appearing in the counselling, number of vacant seats in college.

Hi aspirant,
There are two modes of admission in BTech program at Sastra University which includes either on jee main+ 12th boards score or entirely on board's score. Look there is no cutoffs or minimum score criteria required for getting a seat. The admission procedure is completely done on merit basis through a counselling process. The percentage and choices preferences of candidates are collected and then verified before releasing the merit list. If you are among the top candidates aspiring for CSE with specialization in artificial intelligence and your merit number is above the total number of seats available, you will get it.
Hope it helps!!
Dear aspirant,
As you have mentioned that you have got 440 marks in your 12th and taking into consideration that you have got 75.5 percentile in JEE mains 2021 and also considering you are from sc category, so let me tell you that you have fair chances in sastra University.
But it may vary depending on the conditions like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs, difficulty level of the paper.

Hello dear aspirant
There is no such criteria (minimum JEE marks) for admission in to SASTRA university. SASTRA university has a separate procedure through stream 1 and stream 2 . Stream 1 70 percent seats of every branch are filled through stream 1 based on 12 th percentage ( 75 percent after normalisation ) + JEE mains score ( 25 percent )
For example 12 th percentage - 88 (CBSE) and JEE mains score is 80 . Normalised percentage of board would be as follows 88 * 100/98.6 = 89.25 (Assuming percentage of topper is 98.6 ) Now 89.25 * 0.75 + 80 * 0.25 =86.94 This is your final score . AIR (SASTRA) is prepared based on this final score . There is a chance AIR up to 4000 . If someone is a topper of board exam and his JEE mains score is 40 then final score would be 85 and AIR (SASTRA) would be above 5000 . It proves that there is no chance for JEE mains score below 40 in stream 1 . Stream 2 . 30 percent seats of every branch are filled through stream 2 based on 12 th percentage . There is very less chance for percentage below 95 in stream 2 . I know your chances are less but your intermediate marks is good so you still stand a chance to get admission through stream 1. I would recommend you to apply for SASTRA without any fear as I see a little possibility that you may get a seat there.
Hope this clears all your doubts!!
All the best for your future endeavours
There are two modes of admission in BTech program at Sastra University which includes either on jee main+ 12th boards score or entirely on board's score. Look there is no cutoffs or minimum score criteria required for getting a seat. The admission is completely done on merit basis through a counselling process where the following formula is used to calculate the candidates' score - (12th percentage * 0.75+jee main mark * 0.25). Well your chances are excellent as per the previous trends, adding to it your percentage in the senior secondary exams is phenomenally good.
Hello Aspirant!!
Admissions in Sastra University is based upon 2 categories.
1st category: 85% of total seats are filled upon by the JEE mains marks and the 12th marks.
2nd category: Remaining 15% of the seats are filled only based upon the marks secured in the 12th grade or PUC or intermediate 2nd year or any other equivalent boards.
As you have mentioned only your marks in second year, you are eligible for applying in the second category.
But, the competition would be very higher as only 15% of the seats are filled through the 12th marks. So you have less chances of getting seat only with this 12th mark.
