Shanmugha Arts Science Technology Research and Academy, Thanjavur
hi,
see cutoff score varies every year and it depends on certain factors like number of applicant, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, students category, choice of stream etc. however I suggest you to apply for sastra and as well as other university since cutoff score varies every year. so it is difficult to predict the exact stream based on your score only.
now coming to the stream choice every stream has its own benefits and work opportunities. however cse IT are mainly maths and programming subjects, however ece stream based on physics, maths programming. between IT and ece , ece syllabus is bigger and comparatively tough as per students review. so if you are inclined towards cse, than you should Take b.tech in IT, in place of cse for non availability of cse. THE SYLLABUS FOR cse and IT are quite same and work opportunity is best in India as well as abroad.
hope it would help.

Greetings of the day Uday
There is no such criteria (minimum JEE marks) for admission in to SASTRA university. SASTRA university has a separate procedure through stream 1 and stream 2 . Stream 1 70 percent seats of every branch are filled through stream 1 based on 12 th percentage ( 75 percent after normalisation ) + JEE mains score ( 25 percent )
For example 12 th percentage - 88 (CBSE) and JEE mains score is 80 . Normalised percentage of board would be as follows 88 * 100/98.6 = 89.25 (Assuming percentage of topper is 98.6 ) Now 89.25 * 0.75 + 80 * 0.25 =86.94 This is your final score . AIR (SASTRA) is prepared based on this final score . There is a chance AIR up to 4000 . If someone is a topper of board exam and his JEE mains score is 40 then final score would be 85 and AIR (SASTRA) would be above 5000 . It proves that there is no chance for JEE mains score below 40 in stream 1 . Stream 2 . 30 percent seats of every branch are filled through stream 2 based on 12 th percentage . There is very less chance for percentage below 95 in stream 2 . I know your chances are less but your intermediate marks is good so you still stand a chance to get admission through stream 1. I would recommend you to apply for SASTRA without any fear as I see a little possibility that you may get a seat there.
Hope this clears all your doubts!!
All the best for your future endeavours

For your score in Andhra Pradesh intermediate board exams and the percentile you have scored in the JEE mains exam you can get a seat in sastra University on regular bias.
But with the change in trends in every year we cannot be very sure about your seat in sastra University because it also depends on the number of students who have applied for sastra University along with you.
Suppose students with score equal to or more than you have applied for sastra University then you may not be in the list of students who are eligible to get a seat in sastra university in your desired branch so it would be better you attempt the sastra University entrance exam to confirm your seat.
As per regular basis for a score of 984 marks in AP inter board exams you can get CSE or IT branch in sastra University but comparing the change in trends we could not be very sure about getting the seat because it depends on the number of students who have applied for a seat in sastra university in CSE or it branches.
Suppose students who have secured marks in AP inter board exams more than you have already applied for sastra University then and it would become a bit complicated for you you to get your seat.
So to make sure your CSE or it seat in sastra University you better attend the sister University entrance exam and make a good score in it to to get a seat in CSE or it branches.

Sastra university considers both board percentage and JEE Main to get admission in stream 1. It also considers your board percentage, that should be atleast 95+ to get admission in any Program under stream 2. Hello aspirant,
If you aim for the top filling branch CSE, then you must Atleast have ipe percentage of 98% (980/1000) and 95 percentile in JEE Main. With this combination you might have a Chace to get into CSE as trends of marks changes abit up and down. The minimum IPE marks can't say one figure easily. But 980+ is safe side. When it comes to percentile above 90 precentile is the safe and you have a chane to get the seat in SASTRA University. You want the core branches like CSE, Ece and mech. Definitely, percentile should be above 90–98. Then only you have a chance of hope getting good branch. When you have good percentile like above 95 percentile you don't need IPE marks at all. There are lot of cases getting 930 IPE marks and good at JEE mains marks get the seat.
Hope this is useful for you.
