Shanmugha Arts Science Technology Research and Academy, Thanjavur
Hello Usha Sri!!
Admissions in Sastra University is based upon two categories.
1. 85% of the total seats are filled based upon the JEE MAINS score and 12th grade marks.
2. Remaining 15% of the seats are filled based only upon the marks secured in 12th grade or any other equivalent examination.
As per the criteria, you are eligible for applying for both the categories.
You have lot of chances to claim a seat in category 1 where you have a good score in the intermediate and a decent percentile in JEE mains.
On the other hand, only 15% of the seats ( very less no. of seats) only filled using the marks secured in the intermediate. So, there will be more competition for this category.
You apply for both the categories and attend the counselling.
Hope for the best!
BEST OF LUCK!
Yes you can get chemical engineering seat at sastra University for your marks and percentile on regular biass but with the change in trends I cannot be sure about your seat because there may be more students ce5 scored more marks in the IP exam compared to you and having more percentile in JEE mains still you can confirm your seat in chemical engineering at sastra University by attempting the sastra University entrance exam.
But on general bass I would say that for 974 marks in IPE you can get a chemical engineering seat at sastra University
The most basic eligibility criteria for taking admission in Sastra University in BTech in Computer Science and Engineering artificial intelligence is that the candidate must have completed his or her 12th class with mandatory subjects Mathematics/ Physics and Chemistry/ biotechnology/ computer science. Dear aspirant,
As you have mentioned that you have got 90.3 percent in boards and 75 percentile in JEE mains. But it is very difficult to predict your branch or admission on the basis of this because sastra University prepares its own merit list on the basis of your two scores.
12th percentage weightage is 30%
JEE mains score weightage is 70%
As per my view you would be admitted in this college.

Dear candidate, In Sastra there is no minimum board cutoff or minimum percentile required in JEE. It is based on 12th percentage and jee main marks sastra will calculate like this:
12th percentage * 0.75+jee main mark * 0.25
It will be out of 165 marks. Then a merit list will be prepared. It is clearly visible that 75% percent marks are from boards and 25% marks of JEE. You need to have a good JEE score and high on boards. A minimum of 90+ marks in JEE and 95%+ marks in boards will keep you on a safer side. Chances are less. However, cutoff may vary due to some reasons:
Difficulty level of JEE
Number of candidates appeared in exam
Number of seats in college this time.
Hope, it helps!

Hello T likhitha
WIth reference to your query ,I would like to inform you that admission in sastra are done on the marks scored in 12th which should be around atleast 90 percent and in mains 100+. They prepare their own meritlist on the basis of 2 criterias:One scenario has 70% of seats. Admissions r given by taking 25% weightage of JEE mains and 75% of boards.Other scenario includes admission on the basis of boards marks only. But it has only 30% of seats , so the cut off is high
Hope you found this answer helpful. Good luck for your future
