As your TN rank is 3077 for sastra university. The chances is getting allotted is very less because there are so many students who want to opt sastra university and your rank through TN rank is 3077 so there are very less chances. You can try for 2nd and 3rd counselling at the time of counselling.

Sastra university, Thanjavur is one of the best universities in Tamilnadu. It takes students solely based on merit. No donation seats are available. The competition is heavy to get into the University.Placements are good at sastra thanjavur. Infrastructure is excellent at sastra thanjavur. It is very strict. Placements are ultimate at sastra. The scenic beauty is unmatchable. The climate is simply amazing. The library is really huge. You can also find various rare books here. Ragging is very rare and the repercussions are.. well.. extremely serious. Curriculum in the first year is not sp good. In the first sem there is not one core subject(CSE).

As you have ranked 6000 in stream 2 for sastra university you have very less chances of getting in to the branch of Information Technology. At the counselling time you have to apply for 2nd and 3rd counselling and even though the branch you want to opt is difficult to get allotted a seat. You may try for the branches like Civil engineering,Mechanical engineering and Electrical and Electronical engineering.

See both of the institute is good , has excellent infrastructure, marvelous placement record. however sastra students get many extra curricular activities with the academic curriculum. Overall both of the institute is excellent for pursuing.

vit average package: 4.5 lakhs

sastra avg package: 3.5 lakhs

As you have ranked 3500 in stream 1 for sastra university you have the chances of getting allotted in the branches like civil,mechanical and electronics and electrical engineering. But you can try mostly in the stream 1. And as you have ranked 6000 in the stream 2 you have very less chances of getting allotted in the sastra university in any of the branches.

Hello student. with 6000 rank in stream 2 , it is a bit difficult to get through in stream 2. Since you have missed the counselling, there is nothing called stream 3. But you can try for second or third counselling for which the dates are released. kindly follow the website.

see the technology world and it works ethics changes time to time. now it can not predict in the time when you would pass your graduation which course would be in demand. however it also depends on which of the companies would visit your campus or not. but see all of the courses or technology has its value and if are master in it you would surely get decent paying job. however as per current trends I have rearrange the courses as per preferences,

Though both the branches are good in their own way and the package can not be decide according to the branch, it will depend on the company that will come at the time of placements. But yeah as the scope of IOT and Automation is evolving to a good extent you can undoubtedly go for the option number 2.
