Hello
Admission will be offered under two streams.
Stream1: Based on JEE Main scores and +2 Marks for 70% of the seats
Candidates have to apply and appear for JEE Main and participate in the counselling process.
Admission will be based on JEE Main percentile score and normalized +2 marks with a weightage of 25% & 75% respectively.
Based on their JEE Main scores, they have to further register and apply online for admission to the university.
SASTRA University will allot ranks to the candidates on the basis of their scores in JEE Main and class 12th marks.
Further, candidates have to participate in an institute level counselling and get their documents verified and pay the fee.
Stream2: Based on +2 marks for 30% of seats
Under this channel, the candidates can apply for direct admission based on their class 12th marks.
A merit list will be prepared on the basis of +2 marks by the university.
In order to have the same scale of comparison, the +2 or its equivalent aggregate marks will be normalized.
Final admission will be based on the merit list, counselling, fee payment and document verification.

SASTRA Engineering College is a prominent deemed university known for its world class quality in academics and research. SASTRA allocates seats based on 2 criteria, namely Stream 1 which holds 70% of seats and Stream 2 which holds the rest 30%.
Stream 1:
The weightage for +2 marks and JEE Mains score will be 75% and 25% respectively. The aggregate JEE Mains score and the normalized +2 Score will be taken into account. The normalization process is primarily based on the topper's score. But it may vary accordingly. The amalgamated score of all students will determine SASTRA Rank and the admission will be based on this rank criterion. There is a good chance to get in if your SASTRA rank is up to 4000.
Stream 2:
30% of seats of each branch are filled through Stream 2. But hoping for this is uncertain.
Since, you have good score in your boards in addition to JEE Mains, you can definitely try at SASTRA. You have adequate chance to get threw in.So, have your precision towards the stream you desire. You'll definitely receive, one of the streams which you've explicitly mentioned above.
