It is difficult to say which college you'll get with 88% in DU as the cut offs are expected to be high for general category in BA (Hons) Sociology.

JNU is an excellent college in terms of educational facilities, faculties and peer groups. If the subjects mentioned i.e. political science, history, sociology etc. excites you, do go for it. However, do not choose a college just because of its name, consider the subjects you're getting with more priority as sooner or later you'll start hating them if they do not motivate you.
So as to simplify my answer, give preference to the course and then college.

As you know , a career life in Sociology demands a polite nature, observation, patience, and good communication skills. Also, Sociology students should have strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Well, following are the well known job roles in the field of sociology:
It does not matter from which University you have opted your masters in Sociology. How deeply you have understood the existence and need of this subject in the society, that matters to get your preferred job profiles .
Well, you can expect an average salary of 3.5-4 LPA in these domains (except Officer and Professor job roles)
For professor and officer related job roles, you can expect average salary of 10-15 LPA .
