If you want to become a Software engineer you have to take BE or Btech in Comouter Science or Information Science, to get into BE or Btech you have to clear JEE or any other comman entrance tests conducted by each state and compulsarily you must have completed 10+2
You can do software engineering but from a private college not from a govt college.

After 12th appear for jee mains and advanced exam,viteee,srmeee,comedk,bitsat.....and clear these exams with good marks then you can choose software engineering as your branch. After completing your course follow the given steps -

Hey Adarsh,Yes you can take B.Tech course after completion of diploma in engineering. B.Tech course will allow you to directly take admissions to the second year of engineering.
For taking admissions in B.Tech, you must have to complete 3 years in diploma after 10th in any branch of engineering.
Basically for software engineer computer science is must . In software engineer you basically develop new software.
And for game and app development computer science is important.
