Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore
hi Naveen,
Minimum marks criteria in 12th varies from college to college in India. For famous engineering institutes like IITs/NITs/BITS needs minimum 75% marks in 12th(for general/obc) and 65% marks in 12th(for sc/st). IIIT also wants minimum 75-80% in 12th class. Most of the state universities/colleges has a much lower criteria like 55%/60%. For example IP university, Delhi needs a minimum of 55% marks in 12th class. But if you do prepare for JEE with focus you can surely get good marks in boards.
Thanks!

SKCET also known as Sri krishna college of engineering and technology……..it has advantages and disadvantages ………..
Advantages
Lots of freedom u will get …..and don't believe the rumors of the ppl saying outside like skcet is very strict …. actually I experienced the opposite….
opportunities for placement……it's like lot and lot of companies come in to college to recruit students….but we should work hard to find a place in that company…college will give 100–200 % efforts to place you in a good company……companies like Amazon , Zoho,Goldman Sachs ,tvs, Hyundai , etc etc ….mass recruiters are Accenture, Wipro,Infosys , cts …… about 100+ companies visit SKCET every year but u should also put some minor effort to place in a company none of the company in India will give you the jobs as granted …..so please note that …..u will have lot of opportunities to get placed in SKCET…..
Another thing regarding placement is that u will find lot of companies offering 10–12 L p.a. for CSE and IT students…this thing is a plus in SKCET where you will find this thing only in PSG cit amirta and kct in cbe not other colleges which is lower to SKCET like bannari, SREC …only two to four company offer that package………in bannari Amman or SREC,…as I enquired with ppl in those colleges I mentioned…..
U will find three types of students ……..1.) students who opt for placement….2.) students who go for higher studies ( u will find each skcet alumini in top tier Universities like Stanford,NUS ,NTU,CMU….even in countries in Australia,Canada ,UK , Europe …..even in IIT and IIM) higher studies opting students rate is high in SKCET….very very few people Even go to PSG IM for MBA And Anna University ME also……3.) students join their family business and even start their own business….
Disadvantages
U won't find quality professors but they will try to help you out at any time
Second and the most common thing is the peer pressure in SKCET…..u will find rich kids in the campus with their brand new cars and bikes which feels you bit low when you are from a middle class……..
As rich kids flaunt in definitely their way of culture will affect you as you will see lots of drugs , cigarettes, drinks they used to have and enjoy…….……u should be careful with the peers…….
Overall it's a good college with world-class infrastructure ……I would give rating of 4/5 ……..and I am mentioning again…college won't assure you 100 % placement but they will give you 100% opportunities to get placed as 100+ companies would come and day 1 companies will have mass recruiters …..u should also put some minor effort to get placed …….
Alll the best ……
