No doubt SRM provides good and all the required facilities to students such as smart classrooms, well equipped labs, sports ground, library, hygienic food etc. But SRM is quiet money charging college. However, if you get placed into a good company with a good salary package , then it is worth to pay the wholesome amount.

SRM provide good placement opportunities especially to CSE, ECE and EEE branches with average salary package of 4-5 LPA and highest salary package upto 30 LPA. Top companies like Amazon, Wipro, TCS, and Infosys visit the campus for recruitment.

Dear aspirant,

As you mentioned that you secured a seat in cse main campus in SRM Chennai and you have to choose between the this and amrita Coimbatore.

I would definitely recommend you to go for SRM Chennai because srm chennai has a bigger brand than amrita Coimbatore. Furthermore the cse placements are good in SRM Chennai and the average package is around 6-7 L per. Annum and for amrita its 4-4.5L.

If I compare the faculty both are good and they are supportive.

You have mentioned that your rank is 18786 so, the expected previous year cutoff for the candidate to get admission in SRM (main branch) in desired course was 9500-10500.

It's difficult for you to get admission in main campus with this rank as the cut off trend is very high. There are chances that you will get mechanical engineering,  chemical engineering,  civil engineering,  aerospace engineering but that too depends on the cutoff which goes really high ( depends on luck).

There's an entrance exam conducted by SRM Institute of science and technology. The SRMJEE is a university-level entrance exam. It is conducted in online mode.it consists of subjects like physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, English, and aptitude.it Is easier as compared to JEE mains. The exam is common for all four campuses of SRMIST.

Candidates for admission to the first semester of the MBA- Master's Degree Program must have completed an applicable undergraduate degree examination. Candidates are chosen based on their performance in the state's common entrance examination (TANCET).  Candidates may also apply for admission to the College directly through the Management Quota. Admission examinations for these seats are mandatory, and these entrance examinations are held on the college's campus. The Admissions office can provide you with admission forms for the same.
