To be honest it is very difficult to predict exactly what you will get at this rank because in these colleges or rather in these private colleges the dynamics gets changed every year .

The following factors play vital role in deciding your branch:-

1-Number of candidates appearing in the examination.

2- Number of vacant seats in the college.

3-previous years cut offs

4-difficulty level of the paper.

But on a general basis , in 10k rank you do have chances to get alteast cyber security branch for cse. So , you should also get the it branch in 11k rank but as I mentioned it depends upon the above factors

With reference to your query, I would like to inform you that  you have scored a very decent rank but at this rank getting  cse would be difficult because cse closes before 10k only . I would advise you that instead of taking cse in other branches of SRM , you should go with ece branch in SRM chennai which you will get easily because major become companies comes in main campus only and at the time of placements all stream student sit togetther only so you will equal opportuinites In IT placements

As per your query, I would like to know you that Vit would be a better option than SRM due to its high placement statistics of cse branch , nirf ranking (23) in overall instiutitons of india, Providing education according to the latest trend which is required in the industry , well organized infrastuscture with cleaned hostels . The placements ratio is around 90 percent , average package goes around 8 lakhs and highest went upto to 40lakhs

Saying all the things which you have mentioned is not that easy because the counselling process for giving admissions are done through a procedure. Now as you have mentioned your marks which is a decent one and now you have to put your preferences and options of branch you are interested and by this all factors and also comparing your rank with it if you cross cutoffs than the seat will be allotted to you. So now if you have made your preference starting with CSE or IT field than sorry to say your chance of getting seat in any round of counselling will not be that easy because it has a huge base of students trying to get in it, but ya definitely you should fill some medium branches as well so that you will have a better chance of getting selected by the Fourth or Fifth round of counselling hence, always try to put more options in your preference so that it helps in increasing your chance of getting seats.

SRM Valliammai Engineering College ,Kanchipuram is a private institute in Kattankulathur,Chennai  .It's NAAC Accreditation (Grade A).

This College offers seven UG and eight PG courses .This College is affiliated to Anna University.

Admission is being done to all programmes on the merit basis.

It also offers a provision to students of lateral entry to BE/BTech programmes.

For courses like ME/MBA candidates are selected on the basis of TANCET score.

Fees vary courses to courses such as for BE/BTech ,total fees is INR 2 L - 2.4 L and for MBA/PGDM ,the total fees is INR 70 K .
