Hello,
The SRM University is one of the best private universities due to there well experience teaching facilities and a great infrastructure so this increases the demand for the students and hence you have to score a great marks to get in here. Now the marks which you have gained is good one and as there are two campus in Chennai, one is main campus and other is Ramapuram campus and in this marks sorry to say that you have a no chance go getting seat in any of the Chennai campus but don’t worry you can definitely try in some medium level SRM campus were the chance will be higher and also you will have more and better option to choose.
Thank you..
As we all know that SRM University is a well known Private Institute and KIIT is a Deemed to be university so basically it can also be considered as a private institute. So now talking about comparing both the colleges i would say that SRM is a point higher due its academic excellence and as well as you are talking about the main campus ie, Chennai campus it has a good placement record specially for the CSE branch and the KIIT comes in the medium range and you can find more extra curricular activities as well in SRM which gives you boost in your career, i think this might help you a little in choosing a college of your desired.
Dear candidate, at this rank you can get all branches(except CSE) in SRM main campus and you can get all branches in SRM other campuses with 23231 rank. SRM main campus is considered as a good campus, rest are considered same.
For more information, you can check: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/srmjeee-cutoff
Hope, it helps!
Dear candidate, SRM main campus is considered as different from others. Rest all are considered as same mostly. They have slight differences in education, infrastructure. So, SRM Ramapuram campus is considered as better campus after SRM Chennai, main campus.
Greetings of the day dear Saketh
Firstly, congrats on successful completion of your SRMJEEE Examination. The cut-off trends keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. Getting a CSE seat is getting highly tough these days as the demand is very much. But, with a rank around 2400, you can very easily secure a CSE seat in SRM KTR Campus as the closing rank was around 9,500 - 10,500 for CSE branch in SRMJEEE 2016. So, just apply to their counselling process and secure a seat easily. SRMJEEE Rank holders from 101 to 500 get 75% waiver of tuition fee and SRMJEEE Rank holders from 501 to 1000 get 50% waiver of tuition fee. Scholarship is offered to top State rankers in school final, Top rankers in SRMEE, JEE and AIEEE, Exemplary Sports persons at National and International level. 25% to 100% tuition fee waiver is offered to students who are economically challenged, minority communities based on their performance in the qualifying examination.
You can have a look at the detailed glance about everything related to SRM previous year cut-off trends from the above link.
Hope I've cleared all your doubts!!
All the best for your future

Greetings of the day dear aspirant,
Comparing two different colleges having almost the same growth is a bit difficult. So, as far as I know, that the infrastructure and campus of SRM are far better than that of VIT CHENNAI and accommodation is better for SRM because it is there in the main city. The VIT is new so the building and classrooms are better.
But the main concern is related to academics and placements so, VIT CHENNAI is better in terms of academics, class timings and placements.
At last, it depends upon you. So, choose well.
Feel free to ask any query.
Thank you and all the best:)
