what will be my obc rank if i scored 95.5123877 percentile in pcm group in mht cet 2021 and i scored 90.33 percent in hsc and 83.41 percent in ssc and which colleges i can get and in which branch??

Vedang Ranmale 12th Nov, 2021

Hello student,

Congratulations for scoring such great percentile in MHTCET 2021. With this good percentile, you can get admission in some of the good colleges of the state. However, you may have to compromise with your branch preferences in some of the colleges. Also, as you are a OBC category student, your chances of admission increase.

Here is a list of some of those colleges:

  • Thadomal Sahani College of Engineering
  • Rodrigez College of Engineering
  • PVG College of Engineering
  • VJTI
  • SPIT
  • SPCE
  • DJ Sanghvi College of Engineering
  • Thadomal Sahani College of Engineering
  • Walchand College of Engineering
  • Vishwakarma Institute of Technology

Now, as far as you rank is concerned, the graph of percentile vs rank varies extensively over the years. It depends on various factors such as shiftwise and subjectwise difficulty, number of students appearing per shift and totally, etc.

However, you can check your rank and estimate it on the link below:

Do you recommend studying for 3 government exams while at 2nd semester of college? **The three exams that comes to my mind are GATE, SSC CGL& State govt exam (APSC)***

Sumedha Bhattacharya 19th Dec, 2021

Dear Student ,

You're in 2nd semester means now you're in 1st year . The Govt exams you are interested for have different syllabus .. but , yes .. some common subjects you can start preparing from your current academic year such as English , Aptitude , static GK etc, after your semester study hours ! But .. you must to be focused first that in which Govt exam you have kept in your 1st preference to crack .. based on your goal you can continue your preparation while studying in college .

GATE exam mainly taken for higher studies as well as for jobs in PSUs( most for B.Techs) .

and SSC CGL/ APSC  you can give after your graduation .

Hope you understand !

Hello Candidate,

You can refer to the percentage provided below for details on the different Maharashtra state seat reservations for MHT CET 2021. Around 50% of backward-class seats are reserved in Maharashtra only to those who belongs to the state. The 200 MHT CET Seats Reservation are on the basis of Maharashtra's diverse backward class

Scheduled Castes and Schedule Caste converts to Buddhism (SC) - 13 %

Other Backward Classes (OBC)- 29%

Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC)- 16%

Hope you got your answer, as you are OBC category from UP it may be difficult for you to a state quota in other field of higher education also. Above is an example from MHT CET.

i am born in mp and i passed ssc and hsc from maharashtra for mhtcet in which category i lye in maharashtra A or B

Vedang Ranmale 8th Nov, 2021

Hello student,

As you are born in MP and not in Maharashtra, your type A candidature is not possible. Now, for category B, your parents must have a domicile from Maharashtra to be eligible in it. As you have done your SSC and HSC from Maharashtra itself, its quite confirmed that you have to be Maharashtra State Candidature, However, to determine that, we need to know your parents domicile status

I am soo confused whether I should prepare for SSC exams after my graduation (math honours) or should I prepare for cat to persue an MBA from a good college. My question is which option will lead me to a good financial stability and peaceful life?

Md Qutubuddin Ansari 5th Nov, 2021

Hello,

I hope you are doing fine, It totally depend son your interest, if you wish to join civil services such as IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS etc or you want to join any government post in railways or banks etc then you must write government exams. But CAT exam is totally different from government exams as this exam helps you to take admission IIMs or top colleges which offer MBA. If you have good interest in joining corporates and in business then you must go for CAT exam.

I hope you find this information helpful. I wish you all the best for your future.

Good Luck
