A candidate may be admitted to the B.Com (Honours) course provided he/she has passed the Higher Secondary Examination (plus two course) conducted by West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination recognized as such by University of Calcutta, subject to the fulfilment of the following conditions :

1. For applying to B.Com, Pure Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Statistics is compulsory in Plus-II level.
2. A candidate applying for Honours must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in the aggregate with 45% marks in at least four subjects including English and Pure Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Statistics and must have passed in all subjects as per the respective board/council pass marks.

CBSE board requested to take applied mathematics at par with the existing Mathematics course of CBSE for admission to higher studies in courses other than engineering, wait for new guidelines regarding this if college change their admission Criteria,they update their eligibilty Criteria.for now this is the eligibililty Criteria which consider for admission as follows

Mandatory subjects are english and pure Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Statistics and candidate must have passed in all subjects as per the respective board/council pass marks with any other two subjects. aggregate must be more than 60 Percent in all four subjects.

The infrastructure of  XIMR in the St. Xavier's college campus with a big computer lab accommodated to every student. The library has some of the most amazing business publications like Harvard Business Review magazines, the Economist and Bloomberg. Overall, the infrastructure is pretty good. XIMR has good placements. HDFC Bank is a major recruiter of this university. Last year, the placements were slow due to the demonetization. However, it has been slowly picking up. The average salary package offered is around Rs. 5.5 lakhs to Rs. 6 lakhs. If you are aiming to join a college solely for the salary packages, then this may not be your dream college.
