Hii!
As long as you are eligible for the exam, that is, satisfy all the eligibility criterias required for the exam, you can apply for the exam. The eligibility criteria for SBI clerk exam 2021 states that the candidate must have completed graduation in any relevant subject discipline from a recognised university and must be between 20 to 28 years of age. If you feel you are eligible, you can apply for the exam. There's no problem as such regarding year if exam.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!

my friend had filled sbi clerk 2020 exam in EWS category and got selected for mains exams and was waiting for result but in his state EWS has not come so what should he do

Rama Devi 16th Nov, 2020

Hello,

SBI is a bank operated by the Government of India in the public sector. But it does not come under the view of the state. But this isn't a position for government. It is an incentive at the Public Sector Bank, so it should not be a challenge to apply under the EWS group. But to reach them and check with them, please use the link: https:/www.sbi.co.in/web/careers/post-your-query. Kindly post your query in the above link, they will answer you as soon as possible.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 15th Nov, 2020

SBI is a Public Sector bank undertaken by the Government of India. So it doesn't fall under State perspective. And this is not a Government job. It is an opportunity in a Public Sector Bank and so you applying under EWS Category should not be an issue. But please do use the link to reach out to them and check with them: https://www.sbi.co.in/web/careers/post-your-query

I am 2019 passed out with 1 arrear. That i cleared in NOV/DEC 2019 and got result in 29.01.20. Now i got cleared in SBI CLERK PRELIMS .If i clear in mains is there any problem arise because in notification they stated passing date is on or before 01.01.20. Pls anyone answer i really worried.

anshika.verma2019 26th Oct, 2020

Dear aspirant,

It is mandatory for a candidate to be a graduate from any recognized university on the date mentioned in the notification. Since they follow the rules strictly so it is difficult to consider you as graduate as on 1st January 2020. However, you don't need to be disappointed for this, keep preparing for SBI mains and do apply for IBPS vaccancies. The exams for this are scheduled to happen in December 2020. So, without thinking about this keep preparing for the exam.

i have lost my sbi clerk admit card ..how can i check the results without hall ticket number...is there any chance to download it again.

Harish Jayaraj 9th Oct, 2020

hi.

dont worry. there are other ways by which you can get the hall ticket.

but for anything related to exam you need admit card. so lets see how to get the admit card 1st.

go to your mail which you registered during the exam application. and check for the mail in trash, spammed, inbox and every folder. check for the mail with keywords - SBI , clerk, admit card.

by this you are most likely to get your copy o admit card there.

or do the same process for the sms in your registered mobile number.

if not you have only option to call the exam dept of sbi and inform the situation. they can help you by getting some details from you like, name, phone nnumber, mail id/..

hope it works. comment for any other doubt.

good luck

Hello Pratik,

Age limit criteria for SBI clerk and IBPS exam is candidate should be minimum of 20 years and maximum of 28 years.

Therefore, candidate should have not born before 02/01/1992 and not later than 01/01/2000 for SBI clerk 2020 and IBPS clerk 2020 exam.

According to your date of birth you are eligible for IBPS clerk 2020 and SBI clerk 2020 exam but not for 2021 exam.

However, there are certain age relaxation given by authority like

SC/ST :-5 years

Hello,
The upper age limit for IBPS clerk is 28 years as on September 1, 2020. So you are eligible for IBPS Clerk 2020. In 2021 your age will be 29 years as on September 1, 2021 which makes you ineligible but there are relaxations given for reserved categories. So check the following relaxation reservation wise
  • OBC-NCL: 3 years Relaxation
  • SC/ST: 5 years Relaxation
  • PWD:10 years Relaxation
  • Widows, Divorced women, women legally separated who have not remarried :9 years Relaxation
