Hey! Akshay

Don't think of it like that. Every exam is tough and have some hardness. You shouldn't be feel like this. You are 21 and you have 7 years more to participate in the exams. You shouldn't think of it like this. Take it in a positive way. Clear your mind and start reading according to the syllabus. Practice more problems and don't compare yourself with others. You can do it until and unless you stop trying for it.

I hope you get my point. Don't break your rigor and keep on studying.

All the best for your future endeavors!

I have done B.Sc in hotel management so, can i seat for bank exams like SBI PO, SBI clerk, IBPS PO, IBPS clerk, RRB, etc.

theeanonymous 16th Jan, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Yes, you can. As far as bank exams(Probationary and Clerk posts) are concerned , any candidate in age group of 20-30 can sit for the exam if he/she has a valid undergraduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Based on your category reservation ,you will get age relaxation too which you can check in detail in the exam's eligibility section. Coming to RRB ,the following are the exams:

RRB Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) Exam

Under Non-Technical Popular Categories, there are many posts like:

Commercial Apprentice

Station Master

Goods Guard    an dmany more.

Junior Accounts Assistant Cum Typist    .

Senior Clerk Cum Typist    Deg

RRB Junior Engineer (JE) Exam

RRB Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) Exam

RRB Group D Exam/RRC Level 1 exam

So in railways , you can apply for non technical posts which require either graduation or 12th qualification. Technical posts will require technical degrees such as engineering as qualification ,so you may not be eligible for that. The average age limit for the various exams is at 18 minimum and about 32-33 years at maximum. Similar to bank exams , the age relaxation is provided to some reserved categories. Therefore , kindly go through the complete eligibility criteria for all posts to find out which is apt for your level of qualification.

All the best

Ews certificate varies from state to state and states to central, my doubt is, if i am eligible for EWS certificate under my state norms but not under central government norms, will i belong to EWS category when i apply for SBI PO and SBI Clerk exam, as we should choose a state for SBI clerk post.

Nive 23rd Dec, 2020

Hello, EWS is a financial category meaning that the category is centrally determined for all states. Though the format of EWS certificate varies for each state you belong to EWS centrally too. You may apply for the certificate in the central format if the exam specifically requests a format or else your state furnished certificate itself will be valid.

Hope this helps.

I have not major subject in my graduation.. I am General Bsc passed graduated student can i able to apply for SBI clerk?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 3rd Dec, 2020

General B.Sc will not have any major subject. You study the subjects in general so as to pick up a Masters in any one of the subjects. And it is not mandatory to have a major subject in Graduation. A Bachelor's degree in any discipline is good enough for appearing for SBI Clerk exam. According to the eligibility criteria available at: https://sbi.co.in/documents/77530/400725/JA+20+-+Detailed+Ad+%28Eng%29++-+Final.pdf/7aeafcee-b7fd-b22d-8993-4eea4c969f7c?t=1577966465395 , you need to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised University. Candidates with Integrated dual degree certificate should make sure that the date of passing the Dual degree is on or before 01.01.2021. The guidelines do not mention that there is a major subject that you need to graduate in. Even General B.Sc is considered a valid educational qualification. And so you are eligible for applying for SBI Clerk exam 2021. The applications will be available on the official website from Jan 3rd, 2021.

There are 2 phases for SBI Clerk exam:

  • Prelims exam
  • Mains exam

Prelims has 3 sections namely:

  • English Language
  • Numerical Ability
  • Reasoning Ability

Mains has 4 sections namely:

  • General/Financial Awareness
  • General English
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude
