There is something called Acceptance and Commitment Theory in the field of Psychology. It is an intervention method that uses acceptance and meaningfulness in different ways. It is not a method of eliminating any particular behaviour. Rather it is acceptance of one's own inhibiting behaviour and mould our lives accordingly. This means you accept that you are no longer as curious you were before. But you mould your habits and lifestyle or working towards your dream in a way that you still work in fulfilling your passion. Maybe you should sit and write the reason you are no longer curious or passionate about something. If it was something like a bad experience or bad feedback that you had or heard, you should write it down and then evaluate the truth in it. You should maybe check the facts and see if what you felt or heard still holds true. And then you write down your current thoughts on your passion. It might be the lockdown talking or it might be because you found something else interesting. If it is just the lockdown talk, be assured that you will feel fresh once this situation passes. But if it has been there with you for a while, then accept the fact that your priorities have changed. Choose the correct course of action and decide on it. If you still want to stick on to your passion, maybe you need to rejuvenate yourself and get back on track. So do not shy away from thoughts that take away your curiosity. Face them and write them down. It might be laziness, it might be the discovery of a new passion, it might be lockdown, anything. Just write it down. Allow those thoughts in your mind and rationalise when you can and fight with them when you have to. Discover what is more important. Your flee of emotions or your passion. Set goals to act responsibly keeping in mind the long term. You cannot come back after a year and try to be passionate again. By then you would have lost the rhythm. Always remember that this is just a mind game and you need to reason with your brain and train your brain and not the other way round.

Hello, Ayush.

Of course, a comeback is possible. You're only 20. It's normal to feel like you've failed in life but you have to remember that your life as an adult has barely begun. There are people that chase their dreams even at the age of 50. Don't be afraid to pursue your dreams.

Hello,

We all have had met with some low points in our life at one point or the other but there's no point in dwelling on these issues, live in the present for what is, to commence any activity successful your attitude and mindset have to be right, we all can provide you words of wisdom but then it's you only who have to do the work, so have belief in yourself and your abilities, never ever lose that faith. The inner strength is essential to fight any battles in life, and it's important to keep your self going. There have been many students who come from hindi background and have qualified many competitive entrance exams,so there's no reason why you shouldn't.

Just start with building basic concepts for English, Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude, you have to be well acquainted with the syllabus for this, banking exam is about speed and accuracy so you have to pretty quick in solving these questions as there's sectional timing for each. Practice is the key to success, after building the concepts go through mock papers available free in lot of banking exam sites, you can also download their apps for easy access, another important thing is reading newspaper, start with gradual steps and you'll surely succeed.

All the best!

How long it take to crack sbi clerk if you have zero knowledge about English grammar? Should i go with banking or should shift it ?

pdwords Student Expert 19th Apr, 2020
Hello,

The level of SBI Clerk is comparatively easier to that of SBI PO, but then again standard of English in banking exams in pretty good compared to say, SSC CGL which often repeats its question which doesn't happen in case of banking exams.

Anyway, see it depends on you,if you're determined to make a career in banking, then you have to make efforts to improve upon the areas where you feel under confident.

The first thing I'll say is have a good mindset and attitude towards yourself,we all lack in certain areas but the scope of improvement is always there,if you have this attitude your journey ahead will be easier.

The first thing you can do is to have a good command over grammar for which you can use Wren and Martin book, get your concepts clear like Subject-Verb Agreement,Tenses, Prepositions, Idioms and Phrases, Adverb,Adjectives etc Once you build your foundation you'll find it easy to solve error detection, sentence rearrangement, words swap etc, you can use Word Power Made Easy to improve your vocabulary.

Now,coming to one of the most important part, do read The Hindu on a regular basis especially the editorial part and this is something which you shouldn't neglect at any cost, the reason I'm putting so much emphasis is because according to previous year trends, Reading Comprehensions and other sections have come directly from The Hindu,so reading this newspaper on daily basis will increase your vocabulary, knowledge, the speed of reading as well as help you in quickly answering the questions.

hi..is there any special consideration for SC Ex-servicemen in SBI clerk preliminary examination than general ex-servicemen

Mibin Mathew Mammen 3rd Jun, 2020

Dear Sudheesh,

Thank you for your query. I feel the SBI will not be accepting Ex-servicemen to fresh positions according to their official websites. But you can apply for senior positions which are high salaried positions.

All the best
