how to prepare for the sbi clerk? nd I dont have enough time? plzz suggest me?

Swati Umang 9th Feb, 2020

Hello! Hope you are doing good.

In order to clear any exam, the most important part is clearing the current affairs apart. So, revise as much current affairs as you can.

Also, at this point of time you should start giving mock tests or previous year's appears. This will help in trying to figure out the places where you lack.

Time management is the key in competitive exams so make sure to start giving previous year's test papers. Don't think about whether or not you know the topics or have revised. Everything will be good, once you strt giving test.

All the best

i appeared for the cat but my overall percentile was not so gud..so i m planning for the feb mat nd mah cet.but i have also applied for the sbi clerk..so what should i do? should i preparing for the sbi clerk nd give up mat preparation? plzz suggest me?

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 3rd Feb, 2020
You should appear for MAT and MAH CET. Just get some idea about what kind of questions are asked. If you score really well you can get a decent college which can build your career. But at the same time if you're thinking about SBI clerk then you must keep it also as an option. If you get through the interview you can definitely join and prepare for CAT alongside. It's always better to keep more options to choose from. There's not very much difference between the syllabus of SBI clerk and MAT/MAH CET. Only the banking awareness section of SBI is a little different but is easier to deal with. So you must appear for all the exams.

Good Luck

if i appear for SBI CLERK and get selected then can i appear for the subsequent SBI PO exam or is there any kind of restriction?

hrithik jain 1st Feb, 2020

Hello,

Yes, you can appear for SBI PO exam as well if you get selected as clerk. What you have to do first is to take permission from the bank and resign from the post of clerk. Also, you can appear for higher post in any bank other than SBI, the only thing required id to get permission from the bank. Do not forget to inform the bank in advance before applying for the vacancy.

if i prepare for SBI PO,is that preparation sufficient to appear for SBI CLERK as well(just in case i decide to go for SBI CLERK first),or will i need to study separately for SBI CLERK?

pdwords Student Expert 1st Feb, 2020
Hello,

Yes,you can go ahead with both simultaneously. SBI PO as well as SBI Clerk follow similar exam pattern, although the level of questions are higher in PO compared to clerk became that's an officer level examination, Also, there's no interview for SBI Clerk,it's only document verification. Accuracy and speed is what matters the most in banking exams, practice mock papers on a regular basis in order to succeed in these exams.

The minimum age required is 20 years and the candidate's age should not be more than 28 years as April 1, 2020.
However there is an age relaxation of 5 years for those who belong to SC & ST category, 3 years to ODC & 10 years to PWD in case of general, 15 years to PWD in case of SC & ST and 13 years to PWD in case of OBC.

Is it similar to IBPS PO or Clerk? . What extra I have to do with the preparation of SBI Clerk for MAH CET??

Pritam Singh 25th May, 2020

Hey there

It's good that you want to prepare for banking too along with the preparation of cet. See cet syllabus has quantitative, verbal, and logical reasoning which is also there in sbi po or clerk so if you want you can prepare for it you'll be on a safer side too. Among sbi clerk and sbi bank po the difference is level of questions the number of applicants are huge in both the cases as any graduate can take the exam. So go through past year papers of these exams and decide yourself which exam you want to take.

Hope you understand

Good luck
