SBI PO is conducted every year, Is there any chance of not conducting exam due to vacancy full in further few year(preparing sbi po 2021)

Avinash oza 28th Jun, 2019

Hello Aspirant,

As you are preparing for SBI PO you should know that in the past 3-4 years banks have recruited thousands of executives and so the RBI have imposed some guidelines and restrictions so the no of vacancies will definitely go down.

But vacancies will be released.

The competition will be tougher than ever as the success ratio will be decreased due to fewer vacancies and more applicants there will be brutal competition for each seat.

Best of luck.

I hope it helps you.

If anyone scores above the cutoff level in sbi PO will they get selected for job in sbi has PO.. Or not?

SOUVIK 28th Jun, 2019

Hello Sri,

There are certain levels which you need to clear before you get selected as an SBI Probationary Officer:-

1)First, you need to attempt the SBI PO Prelims exams, if you clear the cutoff you are selected for taking SBI PO Mains examination.

2)In SBI PO Mains examination there are four sections Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis and Interpretation, General/ Economy and Banking Awareness and English Language each consisting of 50 marks respectively and also there is a separate Descriptive paper which consists of 50 marks. First, you need to clear cutoff of the objective paper, if and only if you clear the objective paper cutoff your descriptive paper will be evaluated. After this, an overall cutoff consisting of marks of both objective and descriptive paper will be out, if you clear this cutoff then you would be called for the interview round.

3)In the interview round you would be given a score out of 50. After this, a consolidated merit list will be prepared including all your marks. If you clear this cutoff, then you would be offered the post of SBI PO.

For any other queries, feel free to comment below. Have a great day!!

In how many months of preparation a person can crack sbi po exam?

Shanu Anand 27th Jun, 2019
Hi Shri Shaila,
SBI PO needs immense practice and a calm mind, just these two things and you'll be in the final list. This is how one can start from the scratch and ace it in the first attempt.

Try to enter into specialist entry if you are eligible.

Time Needed - Maximum 5 months.

Do not just read everything.

Stop making notes on current like a 15 year old kid.

Please do not waste time in learning new concepts and tricks.

Give as many test series as you can and everything will fit into the frame itself.

PRE -

Do not touch the pen as far as possible.

Do not attend Puzzles in reasoning section in the first go( make sure you attempt the puzzle one when you are done with the remaining questions.)

Do not mark questions in English section with fear or with fun( depends on your expertise ( this section is a real fucker in pre)

Practice, practice and practice.

Do not focus on pre rather focus on mains.

Quants- Do not try to complete the calculation, just try to see the options when you are in the middle of the question. Secondly try to make your own tricks and methods for questions like series, quadratic, approximation etc.

Do not spend more than 45 seconds on a question. Is this less?? Go home!

If you still touch pen as soon as you start reading question, sorry you will not clear this paper ever! so do not touch pen but don't take this as a religious advice, you can use pen when necessary ( you can not do seating arrangement without pen, i know i sound like a moron :p )

Scoring is necessary no matter which question gives you marks, try to understand that every question carries same marks.

Mains -

Real fight is this part. Pre is just a warm up process.

Real fuck up's - Quant - Nightmare ( can spoil your whole paper.)

- Reasoning - It is a booby trap.

Attempt every question with care.

Try to perform exceptionally good in Current and English they are the real game changers.

Those who think they are weak in English and it's a nightmare, please don't cram the rules and words they are of little use. Read this subject every day, try to attemp the RC in mock papers.

In Quant - No trciks are required, make sure your every single concept of SI,CI, Percentage, Average, Profit and loss, M&A and WTD is clear.

Do not panic in quant section, I Repeat " DO NOT PANIC".

For reasoning - Don't start solving right away, go through the whole section within 5 minutes and then try to attempt the easier one's.

Mains paper test your endurance, patience and not speed. Please do not tak this paper as a game of IPL it is a one day match and you have to decide smartly where to put the power plays.

Please make sure you attend you weak section with a goal to clear the cut off and attend your strongest to score like a pro not vice- versa.

Material and sites to refer -

Current - Affairs cloud monthly ( recommended) and (bankers adda or grade up) All three if you have time. Please Revise!

Quant - Arun sharma and youtube for concept and deep analysis of test series.

Reasoning - Self analysis.

English - News paper.

Test series - No limit on this one ( Practice mock, oliveboard recommended)

Try to use youtube and fellow mates for the topics you are not comfortable with. No need to attend any class.

Please do not attend questions you are not sure of. ( Negative marking will make you regret why you are born in the first place.)

Try to focus on mains ( Right from the beginning).

Hope this will help.

Hi.. I know Sbi po exam will be online but how will be atmosphere in exam hall, example :Will they provide paper for rough work? Etc..

harshita_1558773432 Student Expert 21st Jun, 2019

Dear aspirant

You need noy to worry for the rough work. They'll provide you the rough sheets to do the rough. Now they have started providing you with the laminated sheets so you may buy them from the shops to get used to them which will help you there in exam. Even if the computer program stops working you need not to worry there as well. You may take help of the invigilators there and ask them to change your PC.

MBA or Government job (SSC,SBI PO,IBPS PO,Railways)

Abhijit Kundu 9th Jun, 2019

Hi Akshat,

I have been in your shoes and know what it feels like.

Your parents wants to secure your future and government jobs are a way to do that.

MBA revolves around your managerial skills and give you a managerial job after your graduation.

Buit before that, you have to bag a seat at one of the top colleges. Pursuing MBA in an ordinary B school or a low rtier one will be a loss of your resources, time and future as well.

I would suggest you to gear up and study for CAT, CMAT, SNAP. That way you will be fluent in aptitude which is also useful for government jobs exams. Attempt the MBA exams as well as the SBI PO, RRB exams that come your way. They will be good mocks for  you even if you dont want to go for it. Those exams take long time to process the results. So you can get busy with MBA exams as well. When you crack one, you can always decide what you want to do later.

There is no harm preparing for both. :)
