see the hostel fees is calculated for per semester wise.

however for msc course holders hostel fees is total of 8000 includes 500 of amenity charges. however there is tuition fees waiver scheme is available for reserve category candidates and persons whose family income is less than 1 lakh.

In Jammu University there are total 69 seats for BA LLB , therefore these many students get shortlisted.

Admissions are made on the basis of merit in Entrance Test .

Yes branch cha he is possible in VIT. You can change your branch after your first year of B.tech to a different branch. But as many students compete for the branch change option, it is quite difficult. Only 20-30% students are successful in branch change out of all applicants.

Yes, in every engineering colleges in India the students of first year study the same subjects except the one which is branch specific. The branch specific is generally taught from second year onwards but in some colleges like mine it is taught as early as from first semester.
