I being a surgeon so first I do MBBS or direct Surgeon?

Akash Singh 1st Jul, 2021

Dear student,

The best way and suggestion will be to do MBBS first and then you have to the Master degree in the specialization of surgery.

But I am not telling that there is no other, there is, but they are not very good for long run. Like see, you can do Bsc programme that is 3 year undergraduate course but mainly you can land as a assistant surging and a physician so it is always better advice to do MBBS first from a recognized college and then do the master degree.

You are supposed to pursue MS General Surgery after the completion of MBBS and at least one year of internship. 3 years is the duration of MS course.

You can check more about surgeon course and all by going through the link below.

I hope this information helps you.

All the very best!!

Can a general surgeon have free time for family and other dreams?

Abhishek Roy 27th May, 2021

Yes, definitely after the Hectic 10 Years of Education and Training since cracking Medical Entrances and Admission, a Doctor can definitely have a great career balance between Work and Family. Most of the Doctors after proper Training, Residentship and Education join Hospitals and other Medical Service Facilities and get good perks and benefits, in lieu of the Challenging and responsible job they do.

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 28th Apr, 2021

hi,

see An ophthalmologist is a medical doctor  or professional who specializes in eye and vision care. Ophthalmologists are qualified to  perform eye tests, diagnose and treat disease, prescribe medicines  and perform eye surgery. They also give suggestions  for spectacles  and contact lenses. however the two of the branch like ophthalmology and orthopedics both are different and have equal demand in social life. Our society can not survive with out any of the professionals of ophthalmologist or a orthopedics doctor.

hope you understand.

How do i apply for Surgeon after BHMS degree?

Ashish Kumar Verma 6th Apr, 2021

Hello Dear,

Yes, you can become a surgeon after BHMS and perform several surgeries as per AAYUSH guidelines. You can't be a Surgeon after completing BHMS because no MS is available but there we have MD(Hom) and Homeopathy is capable to cure a certain part of Surgical complications without surgery as you may heard of Gall and kidney stones, some derma, ortho and cancerous problems etc.  You can opt for an M.S. (Ayurveda) in related specialisations. After BAMS, you need to give AIAPGET exam and secure really good marks to secure a Surgery Seat. This way you get an MS(General Surgery) degree after studying for 3 years. There is NO Super specialization after MS Ayurved.

Good Luck
