Dr Parmanand Agarwal 17th Feb, 2018
Hello Arvind,As per your query i would like to tell you After completing MBBS from AFMC, the intern is commissioned into the AFMC for

Lieutenant (Army)

Surgeon Sub-Lieutenant (Navy)

or as Flying Officer (Air Force).

They  are attached to various Military Hospitals to complete their Internship.

After the approval of Central Government, the pay scale of an Army Doctor during internship as per 7 pay commission as below:

Basic: 63100.

MSP: 15500.

NPA: 8k

DA: as per Central Government notification.

No Grade Pay (abolished in 7 CPC)

Transport Allowance: As per Class of city (3600/7200/10800)

So the total pay common to all doctors would be around 86k excluding various allowances.

Hope it helps

How i will become surgeon

Anonymous 20th Nov, 2017

To become a surgeon, you will have to clear MBBS exams like NEET UG, AIIMS. You should have PCB in your 12th class.

After you complete MBBS course of 4 years and 6 months you will have to go for MS course and there are PG exams for it like NEET PG, AIIMS PG etc.

Then you can choose as a surgeon which specialization you would want to choose like General Surgery, Urology, Vascular etc.

Initially you can expect a salary of 35-40K per month. And with experience you shall gain more.
