I have minor eye surgery of my one eye can I get admission in AFMC for paramedical courses or nursing?

Karam Vir 21st Oct, 2020

Hi,

If your eye surgery will cause any problem in your  training session, then it may pause a problem for admission. If it is not a major eye surgery, it will not cause any problem. You can visit any nearest Army or Base hospital to know more about the same. They will mention it more clearly by seeing it.

how is post graduation Surgery here .do they give enough hands for cutting??

DrTeeth 27th Nov, 2020

If you have a good patient load in the hospital you are admitted to you will get a lot of emergency cases and may assist in surgeries. Most of your time will also be dedicated towards completing your thesis and submitting it to your mentor/ guide. Work load will also depend on the branch that you have applied for.

First coming to MDS in Orthodontics

MDS in orthodontics is a 3 year specialized branch dealing with teeth and jaw irregularities and it's treatment modalities.
In BDS you do only about pre clinical orthodontics that is wire bending and case history and not in clinical part of orthodontics,in MDS you learn every part of orthodontics, you get to know about dental photography in orthodontics, different types of patients from small children to adults who come to correct their bites and occlusion.
After MDS in orthodontics you can get a good job as a orthodontics, orthodontic surgeries, your opening salary may be from 3-7 lakhs per annum.

i have got 9.2 cgpa in 10th , 89 percent in 12th and 63 percent in graduation ( bachelor of dental surgery) do i have chance of getting a call from older iim s.

Tunir Sikdar 9th Oct, 2020

Hi,

Firstly, let me be clear, what you have in control is your work experience and CAT percentile. You cannot change your graduation or school academic results.

Also admission in IIMs change very frequently.

Now coming to your query, you have got decent scores in your acads (school). The only drawback is your graduation results and they, unfortunateky, have more weightage.

Remember chances of admission is also based on your CAT score and WAT-PI rounds.

So start prepearing and I wish you all the best!
