i did my mbbs in karnataka and local to andhra . now if i apply to AIQ seats in neet pg how much quota i vl get 15% or 50% .which quota is best for me either state or AI for more chances of getting seat in ms general surgery.what all types of certificates can we apply duringcounseling for reservatio

rachanapbennur 9th Nov, 2020

Hello aspirant!

Unlike NEET UG, the seat distribution for PG NEET is as follows:

  • All India Quota - 50%
  • State Quota - 50%

Since you completed your MBBS in Karnataka, you are eligibile to apply under 50% state quota of Karnataka PG NEET counselling. At the same time, you  can attend All India Counselling as well(50%). Now, since the seat distribution is equal in both AIQ and state quota, it cannot be said as to which has better chances. However, in state quota since only candidates who are of Karnataka domicile or who completed MBBS in Karnataka apply, you have more chances of getting a seat in general surgery.

The documents that are to be produced during counselling are:

  1. MBBS marks sheet and completion certificate.
  2. Proof of nationality.
  3. Internship completion certificate
  4. Aadhar card
  5. Caste certificate if claiming under reservation.
  6. Income certificate if applicable
  7. Medical fitness certificate
  8. Bonafide certificate
  9. NEET registration, admit card, document verification slip.
  10. Gap certificate

Do visit the official website for PG NEET counselling and read the guidelines carefully. The following articles may help you:

My eye power is -3.5 can i join NDA by doing contura vision laser surgery?

Shreya shrestha 29th Sep, 2020

Hello there,

Sorry to say but you won't be able to clarify the medical test for NDA even of your have done LASIK surgery. The main reason is you can apply for NDA between the age of 15.5 years to 18.5 years and as per US-FDA the minimum Age required for getting LASIK surgery is 18 years.

But don't worry you can give CDS exam. The Indian Defence services allow LASIK surgery (only if LASIK has been done after the age of 20 years).(but there are some conditions)

Some conditions are LASIK surgery should have been done after the age of 20, should get it done at least 6months before the medical exam, residual corneal thick should not be less then 450 microns, the axial length should also be within permissible limits.

So you will not be eligible for NDA but you will be eligible for Indian Defence.

Good luck!!

Is contura vision laser surgery is detectable in NDA?

JAYA KARTHIKA RS 25th Sep, 2020

Hello,

Contura vision is the most advanced blade free topography guided laser.

It is detectable by Corneal Topography and slit- lamp (Highly defined end ) examination

These are expensive and are available at highly equiped institutions.

It is very hard to detect in medical evaluation by simple examination methods.

It can't be detectable in NDA, because it is only detectable by highly equipped devices, which are not found in medical evaluation facilities of Army, navy or any defence sector

Hope it helps

after 2nd puc can we do bachelor in Unani medical and surgery

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 14th Oct, 2020

To study Bachelor in Unani Medical and Surgery, you need to apepar for NEET. And to appear for NEET, there are 2 main criteria. You need to be 17 years as on December 31st of the year of appearing for NEET. And the other criteria is that to be eligible for NEET, you should have completed your 12th, passed in all subjects and secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. Now if you belong to OBC Category, the Category you belong to should be also listed in the Central OBC list. Or else you will be considered as General Category and so you have to secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. This 50% is inclusive of the Theory and Practical marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Biology collectively. You needn't score 50% in Physics, 50% in Chemistry and 50% in Biology separately. You need an aggregate of 50% or 40% depending on your Category as an aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. And along with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, you should also have studied English as one of the core subjects in your 12th.
