here are some of the examples of the surgeries which the MS (Ayu) can perform Abscess draining, basic OT suturing, surgical excision of fistula-in-ano, haemorrhoids, and other minor OT surgeries are permitted for B.A.M.S graduates. However they cannot work with other major surgeries.

suchismitaboxi2002 17th Aug, 2022
Hello student

So Admission to BAMS is based on marks in NEET exam.

Cutoff is based on No. Of factors.

Type of College - There are 3 types of Colleges for BAMS

1) Government - Cutoff of GOVERNMENT COLLEGES range in 420+ for General Candidates and 400+ for OBC.Fees is lowest in range of 20000

2) Semi - Government - Cutoff for this type of Colleges are somewhat lower and fees is higher than government in range of 4050000. Its Cutoff is 400+ for General Candidate and 360+ for OBC.

3) Private - Now this is the most variable type of cutoff. As Colleges with low fee tend to have higher Cutoff and high fee college has low cutoff. Fees is in range of 13 lakh per year. Cutoff is in range of 300+ for General and 280+ for OBC.

You can also get for lower marks with donation or some management quota or Vacancy quota.

Now as question is about government colleges it depends upon reservation and marks obtained in Neet.

For good Government colleges the cutoff is as high as 480+ while Normal government colleges have cutoff in the range of 450+ for General candidates.

OBC - 420440

SC- 350 -380

what is the difference between Ms.general surgery and Ms. traumatology and surgery in MGM navi mumbai? Is Ms.traumatology and surgery good?

Aakanksha 14th Aug, 2022
Traumatology is just trauma surgery and is a specialisation in surgery. It basically focuses on the treatment and care of the injuries that are life threatening to the patient.
So master of traumatology is basically a type of specialization in surgery.
While the master of surgery (MS)  is a 3 year long post graduate programme and provides a detailed and comprehensive study on the subject of surgery.

Now, talking about the MGM college
Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Medical College, or MGMGM college, Indore is one of the oldest government run medical colleges in India. It was earlier known as King Edward Medical School, and was established in the year 1878.
Total fee for the course is 1.65 lakhs
There are 20 seats for general surgery.
Admissions are done through NEET PG rank list.
Hope this answers your query
All the best:)

can i pursue nuero surgery after surgery

f20180804 5th Aug, 2022

Hello,

Yes you can specialize in neuro surgery after general surgery.

After completing MBBS degree, one can pursue masters in surgery or go directly for masters in Neurosurgery which takes three years. After completing masters, you have to apply for a super specialization in Neurosurgery.

For this you will have  to appear for some post graduate medical entrance exams and some colleges may take admission directly on the basis of your performance in the last course you pursued.

To know about different PG exams, you can follow the link below.
