minimum marks required to join in nit trichy out of 300 in jee 2020 for obc students in Tamil Nadu and approximate value of percentile to be keep it up join in nit trichy

Sk Student Expert 1st Jun, 2020

Under the JEE, in the OBC category you need an average of 74% or higher to join NIT Trichy.  Also you need to score 130+ out of 300 to secure a reasonable chance.  This is based on previous data.

If you get into NIT Trichy, then what we suggest is you learn from your seniors quickly on time allocation for each semester - subject wise, how to understand the credits for each subject and based on that – how to prepare for your exams.  Since it is subjective evaluation, your notion of examinations will be different in such colleges and so one needs to understand how this system works. This will be an ideal way rather than planning ahead before knowing the ground rules in each institution.

All the best!

My name is Khaja Sherieff. I completed my diploma in mechanical engineering after SSLC for 3 years under dote (directorate of technical education in Tamil nadu) with 90%. I wish to study some arts course. Can I apply a +2 equivalent certificate? Is that applicable in Tamilnadu like Gujarat?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 29th May, 2020

Sherieff, to study an Arts course, you can study Arts course based upon your 10th qualificaion but not on the basis of your Diploma certificate. This still will be considered a Diploma or a Certification course in  Arts. Technically Engineering Diplomas or equivalents are not eligible for Courses in Arts. So if you want to take up Arts courses, you can do that on the basis of your SSLC.

Im a male from tamil nadu ,obc NCL,with 98.03 in JEE main, can I get a seat in nit Trichy?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 20th May, 2020
Hello,
You can calculate your expected rank by the formula (100-your total percentile)*8690101/100 In January session 869010 candidates appeared. So if we calculate your rank it is expected to be around 17119.And your rank based on category is expected to be in between 2500-3000. Considering previous year cut off for NIT, Trichy you have decent chances of getting seat in Instrumentation and control Engineering, Production engineering, EEE, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, CIVIL, ECE and Mechanical.Cut off may increase or decrease depending on number of candidates appeared, number of seats available, difficulty of exam etc.
You may know the colleges in which you may have chances of getting seat by using our JEE main college predictor

how did the cut off marks are calculated for computer science engineering in tamil nadu

Shudhanshu Gupta Student Expert 19th May, 2020
Hello.
Are you asking for TNEA exam cutoff calculation criteria ?.
So for that there is not any official information revealed till now , but still one general idea says o
That it is calculated on the basis of the number of candidate who score well and difficulty level of exam. And if comes to your  cutoff marks for counselling   for TNEA so there is a complete process behind this .
Let suppose you  topper of each subject scored A,B,C marks out of 100 in three subjects physics, chemistry , mathematics and you scored X,Y,Z out of 100 in the same subjects so formula to calculate cutoff becomes :
(A/X)*100 +(B/Y)*50+(C/Z)*50.
here your mathematics subject score will be counted with no change.
Best of luck.
